4* player with Iowa interests

Remember our 5 star lineman from Atlantic,Iowa,remember Hayden Fry's running back/kick off receiver who was the number 4 or 5 athlete in the country who could not get eligible for a couple years and when he did, he sucked.In Kirk, I trust ! I go to every game and every bowl game.You guys don't even know bad football !I was there when we one game, but we probably had more fun then.Open bottle's were the norm in the stands!

Ah, Hawk7458 is making me remember the good old times when no one but the coaches and players thougnt they could win. When the hawks gave up 60+ to Michigan and never crossed mid field against indy penn state. Only a few people really had concerns for the state of football.

i remember Larson's career cut short due to injuries, i remember Willie Guy not getting on the field because of Academics, i don't call those failures, get your facts straight or maybe your thought proccess readjusted on what is a failure.
Barrent that backed out of his commitment to Iowa and ended up at MSU is done playing because of injuries, is he a failure, I DOUBT IT

Agreed. We weren't paying the coach $4 million a year back then. He was just given a discount on basketball season tickets.

What were "we" paying the coach then? Are we talking about Commings or Fry? Personally, I don't pay the coach at Iowa anything. Not a taxpayer there anymore; not sure if the taxpayers pay his salary anyway. Who is this "we"?

the University make enough on 1 1/2 home games to pay KF salary for a year and most of the asst's
that leave revenue from 5 1/2 home games to pay for other sports
the tax payers do not spend a penny on any sports salary
