4 B1G teams get the previous week off

I remember last year for an 8 week stretch, an average of 4 teams each week were off in the big ten.

So each big ten team, in 1 season, would expect to play 2 or 3 teams that are coming off a bye. So 4 teams is a little high, but not too out of line.

That is right! Half of the B1G games Iowa plays will be against teams who have the previous week off to prepare.

10/18 Maryland
11/1 NW
11/8 MN
11/15 IL

That seems like a statistical anomoly to me... At least we get the NW game with the same week off before-hand.

I am sure someone posted this back when the schedules came out, but I am just now noticing. Man, that seems to make it an uphill climb.

With as pillowy, Charminy soft as Iowa's schedule is this year, I'm thinking that a few off weeks prior to the game shouldn't effect Iowa's record. I could be wrong, though.

Oh, idk about that...

He's a stud, yes, but there's a big difference between NFL defenses and ISU's defense.

That said, I wish Iowa would have pulled the trigger back when they were showing interest in him. I wouldn't mind seeing him in black & gold.
I was telling a buddy of mine that I could see David being one the best 3rd down backs in the league. He has great hands and is a nightmare for secondary players to tackle & he's so big that he just needs to fall forward on 3rd and short to move the sticks.

Maryland isn't in the Big Ten. They're in the B1G+4.
