2018 Hawkeye Baseball Thread!

Hawks sitting at 8-2 on the season heading to Las Vegas to play UNLV this weekend! Great start and getting some good experience after losing key pieces like Adams last year.

Hawks have played most of the toughest teams in the league except minnesota I believe now and are 5-3. Looking at another really solid season! Lets hope for some warmer weather soon!
 
The Hawks have a 3 game series coming up at the fuskers. April 13th.-15th. Then they go to Minny for 3 the 20th.-22nd. In between those 2 series they have a game with Northern Illinois.
 
I saw Pat Harty mention that Coach Heller wants the season to start about a month later. It is hard to blame him this weather is no fun to play in. The other thing starting later might do is even out the playing field a little as maybe the warm weather states won't have such a large advantage when it comes to playing and recruiting if we can play in some nicer weather up here.

Unfortunately, the first Hawkeye baseball game I have ever gone to was yesterday.
Of course. Long drive from west of DM and back to watch that kind of game.

... that’s baseball.

But taking 2 of 3 from conference leading Michigan = awesome!

Hoping they can take the series against BigXII leading OK State next weekend. And beating Mizzou in the midweek game would help their RPI too.

Snapped Michigans 20 game win streak! Took 2 out of 3 from them is great! I was in Iowa City Friday but couldn't get to the game. Dang that would of been fun to watch!
 
Great weekend for the Hawks! Great program Heller is building in Iowa City and it looked like a really nice crowd also!
