Great sweep Hawks! I love this team, lots of Iowa kids, no superstars, just a bunch of gutsy players that make big plays in close games and find ways to win. Really a true team. Great crowd so nice to see the video of the walk off in game 1 yesterday and the video panning to the crowd going nuts for Hawkeye Baseball. Give Heller a raise NOW!!!
Here is a feature story on the baseball program's connections to Iowa Central and Fort Dodge. It's been great seeing this program emerge! Always been a big fan of Coach Heller. Simply put, he's a winner.

yeah. Illannoy has (I think) one of the easier schedules. Only play one of the current top 5 in B1G and all five of the bottom five. The others in top 5 go two and three in top and bottom
Nebby is not in top 5 but plays all top 5 and 1 of bottom. They have a decent/good team but
...
There is really no reason that there should not be round robin in baseball. Play each school twice and four conference games a week when conference plays.
Nebby plays Creighton 3x but not every B1G team. ?

Hawks beat Sacramento state 4-3 in 18 innings. Listening to Brent balbinot was pretty good the last few innings.

Poor pitching effort by Hawks. Michigan is a good hitting team and looks like a linebacker corps throughout the lineup.

Hawks got like 28 walks and 7 hits to win 7-5 over West ILL.
On for Minnesota. A sweep puts GoGos out of their misery for a big ten tourney spot. Put two losses on them and it probably does.
And cements Iowa's #2 seed for tourney.

Heard on radio that Iowa is being projected as a #1 seed in regional. Sweeeeeeet.
