2014 Iowa commits' senior year games.

Instead of doing weekly threads like in previous years, I thought it would be better to have a single, running thread for the whole season in which we can discuss the senior progress/highlights of Iowa's committed recruits.

While the regular season starts this Friday or next for most commits, today was the first scrimmage for DE commit Terrence Harris of Paramus (NJ) Catholic, a top-5 high school team in America according to some. His team did not fail to disappoint in walloping St. Augustine of Richland, NJ. PC jumped out to a 49-0 lead/win in just one half of action.

Here's an article on the game. I haven't seen any mention of how Harris did, but I find anything about him, I'll pass it along.

A quick rundown of this weekend's games:

Friday:
K Mick Allen--Lovejoy (Lucas, TX) at Madison (Dallas) [Scrimmage]
DB Joshua Jackson--Lake Dallas (TX) at Liberty (Frisco, TX) [Scrimmage]

Saturday:
DB Omar Truitt--St. John's College (Washington, DC) vs. Calvert Hall (Baltimore)

I'm not sure how much, if any, information I'll be able to pass along about the scrimmages, but I'll pass on whatever I'm able to find.

Found out that Lucas LeGrand and Dubuque Senior are scrimmaging North Scott tonight. No news yet from that game or the LD vs. Liberty scrimmage.

Also, according to some unverified tweets, Mick Ellis' Lovejoy team defeated Madison (Dallas, TX) 28-0. No word yet on stats or news.

Some bad news out of the DC area as Omar Truitt didn't play in his team's 17-7 win over Calvert Hall today. According to reports, he didn't play due to a concussion, but he did wear and Iowa visor on the sideline.

CJ Hilliard has scored his first rushing TD of the year.

St. X 7, Ben Davis 0, midway through the 1st.

In the other game that has already kicked off, Omar Truitt and St. John's College are up 28-0 midway through the 2nd quarter. Truitt sat out last week recovering from a concussion, but I haven't seen whether or not he is playing this week.

A couple of updates:
CJ Hilliard had 73 yards, aided by a 48-yard scamper, and a TD on 11 carries as St. X leads Ben Davis 21-7 at halftime.

There's some pretty severe weather in the Chicago area tonight, so I'm not sure when/if Sycamore vs. Lincoln Way West will kickoff.

CR Xavier is leading 7-0 at the end of the first. Matt Nelson had a sack in the first quarter.

Josh Jackson had a 71-yard TD reception to put Lake Dallas up 17-15 in the 2nd.
