Gents,

It is that time of year again. We are handling things a little different again this year. We will be using the same website, but we will not be running the pool this year. We will be allowing everyone to use the site to run their own pools and tabulating the results under the same rules as in the past for $25.00 per league payable via major credit card on our site. There is also a “rules†tab on the site as well.

You will need to go to the site and register first. Then accept an invitation to the pool sent to the e-mail address you entered. Don’t worry it’s an easy process and the information is just for our pool.

Click: www.fantasygrade.com

1. Register/Login
2. Click on Add new league
3. Select NCAA Wrestling and enter in a league name, password and an invitation message
4. Pay league fee
5. Invite owners

After you register you’ll be able to enter your squads.

The wrestlers loaded now are from the current rankings and will be adjusted once the final rankings come out after the conference tournaments are completed. The complete list of wrestlers will be loaded once the official tournament brackets are released. This allows you to mess around with the pull down menu and get used to using it.

Newer rules to note include:

  • No one will be able to see anyone else’s squad until after the tournament starts.
  • All squads will need to be entered/settled by the start of the tournament on Thursday. You will not be able to enter/change your squads after this.
  • The site will have scoring throughout the tournament.
  • Please review the complete rules below and then if you have any questions please e-mail me at support@fantasygrade.com

Cauliflower Classic 2013
Official League Rules

1. New Rules / Reminders / General Information

1.1. Withdrawal Rule: Once the deadline hits for adding or changing teams, you not be allowed to modify your lineup. You will have until the official starting time of the first round of the NCAA National Wrestling Tournament to add rosters or make changes to existing rosters. If a wrestler withdraws from the tournament prior to its start, and that wrestler is on your roster, you will not receive any points for that weight class. Therefore, you should make a final check of your rosters prior to the submission deadline to insure you don’t have this issue.

1.2. Deduction Points Clarification: If a wrestler is deducted a team point(s) in the team scoring by the NCAA he will also be deducted a point(s) in our pool. We score our pool exactly as the NCAA scores the team race. Additionally, if a coach is deducted a team point, the NCAA assigns that deduction to the wrestler competing for that coach when the deduction occurred. Therefore, we too will deduct a point from that wrestler.

1.3. Reminder: Please look over the entire rules sheet along with all e-mails we sent before e-mailing questions. We’re more than happy to help you with anything, but please keep in mind this pool is very large and you may find an answer more quickly by simply reading the rules. Everything will be handled the same year to year, so if you’ve been in previously, unless notified, everything will be handle as it was in the past.

1.4. Website: All roster selections must be completed through the following site: www.fantasygrade.com. You will be required to register, after which you will need to accept an invitation to the pool. Once you have done both, you can begin adding rosters. We do not have a user or help guide for the site, but it is pretty self explanatory.

1.5. Payment: This year’s pool will be run through the FantasyGrade.com website. Results will be available during the tournament on the website. Therefore, payment MUST BE received, using the secure credit card payment option via instructions on the website.

so we pay you for something we can do on their own?

Figured I'd be hearing from you. Always do.

Actually the site scores the entire tournament for your league. Similar to any fantasy football, or baseball site. That is what you pay for. Also for the "structure" that was created to be able to have the "competition" in the first place. You enter your squad and the site figures the points your squad scored for anyone in your league. To answer your question, yes you could. It would take you a fair amount of time though. Believe me, 11 years ago when I developed the "structure" I hand tabulated every squads score individually.

BTW, I believe the sense I got from you last year remains true. ;)

It would be worth it for sure if you could get your own pool and everyone just chips in a little to pay for it. i like it

wasn't it before just one BIG pool or am I wrong?

It sure was. It just got to be too large for me to handle. Plus in 11 years I never finished in the money once. Became far too much work for no return.

Squads are $25.00 each. -All money collected will be paid out. -

Update:

Just a clarification. I am not running a large pool this year. We are allowing everyone to utilize our site to run their own pool at a cost of $25.00 per league. The $25.00 you pay there is not an entry fee in to the large pool that has been run in the past. It is for use of the site for your own league. Sorry for any confusion. Good luck and have fun.

The wrestlers are loaded on the site:
