Meh... old highlights from days gone by. Cliche.... Preparing to be the best. Based on this video - what is there to look forward to THIS YEAR?

Exactly what I noticed, too. The best, prolonged highlights were from somewhere between 4 years and a decade old. That makes Hawknick's comment that, "THIS team looks unstoppable." even funnier for both it's sarcasm or homerish goofiness, whichever he intended.

Bottom line, with exception of Kirksey pasting some Minny player (2:24 mark), KMM making the go-ahead TD catch vs Pitt -- from 2 years ago -- (2:24 mark), and, Weisman (I think) scoring some TD (2:42), there's not a single player from that montage on THIS team.

So, to Dunder's challenge ... It doesn't get me pumped for this season. It does get me pumped to pull out some vcr tapes (the prevalent technology the last time Iowa produced that caliber of highlights montage) and watch them with Springsteen's, "Glory Days" blaring.

I would like to see some of wins from the 92-94 seasons. I remember those teams but I have had a hard time finding footage outside of a few postings from opposing teams.
 


I'm nervous. This did nothing for me. I don't think I'll be able to enjoy this football season if they do well because I think I've already written them off.
 


It's a good product, just nothing from this year's players other than Weisman and Kirksey.

However, it does show what we can achieve.

That gets me hoping at least.

And I think I screwed up the math operand :eek:
