2012 Wes Staten transferred to SC Heelan

there's a lot of rumors here in sioux city about how it all went down, but i'm not spreading any of them.
 
My brother is a high school coach in NW Iowa. I thought he mentioned another high profile transfer in Sioux City in the last few months, but I may be confusing it with something that happened down here in KC. I am getting up there since I hit 45 last month:)

Hey TC, are you going to try to take in some of the games this weekend at the KC Classic? Paige is going to be playing.

Oh I know the private schools strike again. You people make me sick, if you dont know the truth or the facts then you should probably not just throw acquisitions around.

Acquisitions...sounds like a typical private school move.

I do know the truth and facts. Everyone knows the truth and facts. All of the private schools do it. Just don't get all pissy when you get called on it.

I have friends who have coached in public and private schools. They have told me how it works, not that I did not already know.
 
Either way Staten was on his way out of West after the stunt he pulled walking off the court during a game and then getting booted for the rest of the season for off the court trouble. Heelan was a good choice for him and hopefully going there helps straighten up his act...if not he'll probably be an a new school his senior year too.

Why is that positive? I think Iowa has a better chance of landing Paige than Staten. I also felt Marcus was forcing his game in the first half but in the 2nd half did a fine job. Staten and Gessell are both a lot stronger than Marcus at this point,but that gives him a huge up side potential in the long term. His ball handling and vision is much better than Staten.
