2011 Recruiting Class (Current Offers)

Another new PG recruit Iowa is watching is Anthony Collins from Houston. He lists Baylor, TCU, Nebraska, Minnesota, Hawaii, USC, Texas Tech and USF as schools who have offered.

Here is a recent article on him from USF

Looks pretty solid. Interesting form on his jump shot. That article makes it seem like he wants to play in the big east so we may be at a disadvantage??

New shaq stokes video I just found. I hope Fran can land one of these point guards. Stokes would be a great get in my mind.

Good find Sixer here are some more Chievous videos. In no particular order Carter, Chievous, and Guerrero would be my favorite guards to land.

wow that's some crazy athleticism. I hadnt given Cheivous much thought until know, but man he looks impressive. We could use an infusion of athleticism. His slashing ability next to Matt's shooting could pose some problems for teams next year. Do we have an offer out to him? I'm too lazy to go back and look :D

I see that Cezar Guerrero is visiting Oklahoma State this weekend according to ESPN's College Basketball Rumor Central. I hope that Iowa can get him on campus and show him what we can offer (facilities and playing time).

Cezar will be here next weekend.

I hope Fran has as many recruits as possible in for next weekends Senior Day game vs Purdue. Should be a good crowd, all very appreciative of Jarryd Cole's contribution and loyalty, giving him a lot of love. Also should be an emotional Hawkeye team trying to give Jarryd a win over Purdue to go out on...not likely but even if we get mashed, recruits might feel that it only means early playing time.

Cezar needs to feel the love also...get on it,student bb fans.

Lets just Cole doesnt get the Adam Shada treatment.

Does anyone think we can actually get cezar? If he wants playing time he is going to get it, plus I love how our system just lets kids play. I hope he likes both of those things lol

Matt Glover (PG/SG) out of Sheridan College in Sheridan, Wyoming is a name that was discussed on Matt and Miller yesterday while talking with Tom Kakert. Matt played his high school basketball at Tustin in Orange, California where he averaged 19 points 2 assists and 3 rebounds per game as a senior in 2010. Glover is a 6-4, 190-pound guard.

This guy would be great in the backcourt with bryce, and if he shows any ability to play the point, he could be bryce's eventual successor. Have we offered him?

heres a video I found of Packer. Great size for a point guard. I love how Fran is in with so many quality guys, even if they are under the radar.
