There were only three JUCOs on 2002 team that I recall. Banks, CJ, and Nathan Chandler, backup QB. The OP lists Cole but Colin was not a JUCO and Pickens graduated in 2001.

I ihave no problem focusing on high school players. Maybe a JUCO or two this year for DL help

2002 filled with great JUCO players. i honestly do not remember - who are they? i know Banks, but who else?

Iowa goes to the JUCO route when necessary - to fill an immediate need - not vice versa - you build depth with HS seniors, not JUCO players that have 3 years to play 2.

Iowa has plenty of immediate needs that need to be filled.
