10-0 and Kirk still needs to go man

Hmmmm ... let see, Kirk is almost assured of Big Ten Coach of the Year and will probably be in the top 3 for National Coach of the Year. Runs a clean program, turns 2* and 3* kids in to NFL players, has us in the hunt for a B1G title and possible playoff spot, and you say he should go? You need to reboot your thought process.

I know the OP is just screwing around so this isn't for him. OSU played the same game against Minny as we did sans the last drive. They were trying to stop OSU down 7 late in the game when OSU ran for a long td, same as us except we were only up 6. The only difference is how weak prevent defense we played after. As for Michigan, they needed a clock management blunder to win. If we aren't top 15 material, neither is OSU and Michigan. If none of us are, who the hell is?

Four time coach of the year (I'm counting this year). Only Iowa coach to ever start 10-0. Only Iowa coach with four top ten finishes (potentially five this year). Can his asss. You are absolutely right. I'm with you.

Evy finished in the top ten five of his last eight seasons.

The OP is correct. The coaches should have called more bootleg roll out passes, or a deep ball to Vandeberg, or an end around pass to stay aggressive. Never mind you had a running back go for well over 100yds in the 2nd half. Forget that guy!!

(please read with heavy sarcasm directed towards the high level of derpage from OP)

The OP may be serious, he or she may be trolling, but the bottom line is there are lots of fans that think this way. They want to see their team win 50-0 every single week. They want to see offense. This section of the fan base is why college football is changing, and why coaches are getting shorter leashes every year. It's why the talking heads have a love fest with teams like Baylor. If there are ANY Iowa fans that still want to see Kirk Ferentz go because of a few bad decisions that don't even lead to losses, then they simply don't know anything about this team. Remember the stat they showed and how many 4 and 5 star recruits the top four had compared to Iowa's 8? Ferentz does more with less, and there are very few coaches that can do that. I can't believe I even had to type something like this.

24-14 lead going into half and getting the ball back, and with 17:49 left in the game (2:49 left in the 3rd) KF/GD is running what can only be described as plays to run the clock out.

The biggest victory for this staff tonight (because it certainly wasn't having the D ready to play) was getting Minnesota to burn a time out.

I loved that stanford lost, Baylor lost and cowherd should basically jump off a building.. But we completely validated his opinion that were not a top 15 team.

on the bright side, in the first time in a long time we can say our offense bailed out our defense

Actually the biggest victory was getting to 10-0 for the first time in school history. That's by definition the biggest victory not of just the night, but ever for this football program. Minnesota had an excellent night calling plays and despite that, the Hawks still win. A good team is a team that wins in whatever fashion it needs to. Hawks have done that every week in a variety of ways. That's coaching. Where was this post when the offense didn't show up against Wiscy?

I have been critical of KF and beleived until this year he needed to go because of the past 5 years. However,I am willing to admit that thinking was short sighted and plain wrong and a good thing I am not the AD. What KF has done this year is history. No one has ever done it. He has earned the right to go out when and how he chooses. I am happy and relieved we won. Nothing to complain about from this fan. Any one who wants to ***** about this WIN will never be satisfied. They will ***** and moan about what didn't go 'right' if we win the National Championship.

I want nothing more than for Kirk to leave on good terms and be able to come back to cheers at Kinnick.

I don't think anyone was against Kirk the person,it was the play calling and the hiring of Davis no body understood.I feel we have the talent on offense to put teams away if we take a few chances down field. Can't disagree on how their calling the game when all we do is keep winning though.Lets keep this undefeated season going and get everyone healthy.Go Hawks

Actually, there were a few on here that were against the person, the coach, the dad, etc. I think a few of them are waiting for a loss to return.

Many of the criticisms were warranted, some were not.

Keep winning. Winning cures all, mostly.

I have said this for the last 5 years and the response I got goes as follows: "If it doesn't end badly, it wouldn't end." I am paraphrasing, but the sentiments were along those lines.

OR could it be that every team is gunning for Iowa and going to do everything in their power to upset a top 10 team. If Iowa converts a few of those 3rd and 3 downs this is not an issue.

Were you talking to Doug Coughlin?

Yes it's much different being the hunted isn't it..especially when teams have and know they can beat you....it takes a few years to get intimidation points...for now we get the best effort of motivated teams who know we can be beaten.

I get this attitude, I mean some have spent so much time, and energy trying to convince everyone (some for years and years) that KF sucks, he needs to go. Of course their opinion hasn't changed. I figured they would at least wait for the first loss to come out with this crap. I mean we would be idiot Nebraska fan on super stupid steroids to want him fired now. I mean Nebraska fired a coach for beating Iowa......Now Iowa fan wants to fire a coach for 1 quarter of play in a football game when the stadium as absolutely electric all night long....oh and won the game.

Ha Ha! Thumbs up. I don't know, we scored 40 points so must not have been that conservative. Was it conservative when LD took it to the house?

You have been on fire lately with the one-liners. Have to admit I had to google Doug Coughlin before I got the Cocktail reference.
