    Basabe on the Block

Totally agree, he needs a lot more touches down low as do the rest of the bigs. Basabe is probably our best post weapon, the guards need to do a better job of feeding the posts when they get position

    Time to bench Woodbury???

Didn't say he was great at it and we both agree he is improving, i thought he played well against osu, and he can cover a lot of ground in a hurry which helps when getting back, Woodbury might have a great feel on when to jump back but he isn't fast enough to get back on the block when he needs...

    Time to bench Woodbury???

"Decent man up defense. Poor help" +1 he lacks the quickness necessary when helping up top and rotating down low. Basabe does this well and Gabe is improving on it

they can also come on back cuts, how often has white been open down low for dunks, we have some players that can knock down the mid range game also, marble especially

Super Seven: Ranking the Big Ten’s best big men (Woody Listed)

Zeller gets points off the fastbreak, Woodbury does not, he might have 4 fastbreak points all year. How many fastbreaks has he stopped on defense by getting back, not many. Yes he rebounds and passes to the outlet but so does every other big man. Does that make him a good passer. I thought he...

The writer states "He has made an immediate impact upon arrival, showing uncommon athletic ability for a 7 footer." He clearly hasn't seen him play much.

    UPDATED: Adam Woodbury block-o-meter thread

Re: OFFICIAL: Adam Woodbury block-o-meter thread His rebounds were either off his own misses or uncontested, there were several times when a northwestern guard would out jump him and tap it to a teamate

    UPDATED: Adam Woodbury block-o-meter thread

Re: OFFICIAL: Adam Woodbury block-o-meter thread I think basabe brings something we don't have in the starting lineup which is athleticism, when he posts up down low good things happen, also his defense has been good this season he helps out on the perimeter and is quick enough to protect...

Re: OFFICIAL: Adam Woodbury block-o-meter thread Thats not fair to blame that all on basabe, mccabe was a big reason the interior D was bad. i recall Mel played well against some the best big men in the conference and its a new year defensive schemes adjust and players improve

    UPDATED: Adam Woodbury block-o-meter thread

Re: OFFICIAL: Adam Woodbury block-o-meter thread Im not a fan of his game, i hope he does well but all i've seen is a jump hook from him. I think Basabe could have more of an impact if he started. I like the timberwolves but not Kevin Love last year he was an all star that doesnt mean i have...

    UPDATED: Adam Woodbury block-o-meter thread

Re: OFFICIAL: Adam Woodbury block-o-meter thread I'm not much of a Woodbury fan but he did dunk vs South Dakota (google adam woodbury dunk). And had a half dunk where the ball bounced out of the rim off the backboard then fell back down vs iowa state
