One thing that really excites me about this is the Olympic sports. Baseball is a big deal in the Pac 12, and the Big 10 is just now starting to emphasize this sport again. Don't kid yourself...this will greatly increase the conferences overall RPI when it comes to selection time.

Absolutely...that is my point. I didn't come here to start anything at all. There is just A LOT of false rumors going around tonight about Martinez and the Nebraska program. I have alot of respect for Jon and this site and wanted to try and set the record straight...that's all.

You are absolutely correct, but Martinez will not stay in the midwest...he will be going back to the west coast (if he leaves at all...right now i doubt he will, but things could change in the next 24-48 hrs)

You can ask Jon what my credentials are when it comes to Nebraska Football...there are most certainly things going down in Lincoln, but as of 8:45, TM was very much part of the team.

I can tell you for a fact that TM has not quit the Nebraska football team...yet. If he does, he will be going back to the west coast.

The whole thing with Texas has been way over blown. This has never really been a rivalry and there is a lot of respect both ways. If people actually listen to the people in charge at both Universities, they will tell you that there ideas are more aligned with each other than any other...

As a Nebraska fan living in Iowa, there is no one looking forward to this rivalry more than me. My only hope is that it doesn't get ugly, as I fear it will. I have a lot of respect for Kirk Ferentz and what he has done at Iowa over the last 8 years or so. We are getting back up to...
