I hope Brian spends his time recruiting superior talent for years to come. We can revel on win today and be 2-0 in B1G but we still need better players. In the meantime, kudos to him and the rest of the staff for losing today's game less than MSU ( because that is how both staffs were calling it!)

I agree. I have been as critical of him as anyone. Pick against Minny was because they were throwing at him or Donatello EVERY play! He was in good position this week and even better play on tip, but he deserves some credit. We held them to 16 points thru 2 OT's!

They are a former top 15 team for a reason, MSU is just not that good...and Iowa deserved to win today because we took care of ball outside of a JVB INT that was MSU's TD.

"I told you so" or not, JVB has regressed as a QB, his footwork, touch, field vision is disappointing for a 5 th year senior. Kudos for not turning the ball over and keeping Iowa in the game, but he was far from the reason why we won. Great work to Meyer and our D!

Looks like the opposing coach was making a complete a#$ of himself, pleading for a call every time down court. I am not a big fan of the IHSAA, but I kind of like the rule that requires coaches to sit down- sure keeps coaches more level-headed and in turn keeps teams a little more calm!
