I'm curious how Fry and Ferentz compare in both recruitment and player development. My hunch is that Fry was a better recruiter, while Ferentz/Doyle develop players better. Any opinions or statistics out there that can shed some light?

Even if Iowa beats Oklahoma in the Insight Bowl, it does not make up for the last two years of underachievement and mediocrity, nor does it vindicate the stubborn adherence of Ferentz and staff to schemes and philosophies, which at best have become antiquated.
