I missed the first half. What’s up with Joe?

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/game?gameId=401255666 Have to admit, being well favored against the #1 rated team feels nice. My guess is that Fran is looking at that 100.5 ppg metric and thinking "finally I don't have to worry about defense".

    Who would you add?

Now that the regular season is over- if you could add one Iowa player from ages past to help this team compete the next 3-4 weeks, who would it be? We could certainly use a ball hawking stretch 4, a slashing 3 with D skills, an elite1, a 2 who can shoot and stop penetration. Or a backup...

I recommend no one reply to this post.

Or make any further postings about the Purdue game for the rest of forever. See you Saturday after the Nebraska game. \\

    Ross penalty

Can someone give the definitive answer about what the hell that call was about? The replay is hard to learn from because they cut to the play late. But from what I can tell it was a legal block below the waist downfield.

I kept waiting for Iowa to line up with one wide and go deep. ISM was the best WR on the field today. Give him a deep post iso five times. It’d be two touchdowns and two defensive holds.

    JBo deserves another thread

I was reading some of the serious crap on here from a minority of fans downplaying the potential loss of Bohannon for next year. It's a good read, that thread, but it this point needs to be made. This guy wins freaking games. I don't give a flying funk what you say about his foot speed or...

    Podcast- better AD opportunity

I was really surprised how this dialogue fell out. The money is not equal. Not even close, and not even with the new B12 ESPN app thing. And there is no denying that there is a prestige disparity between the B1G and B12. Iowa just has more cache than Iowa State. Until ISU has a history of...

    It'll be about Connor

Iowa bball next year will be good or bad based on whether whether or not CM is a true B10 PG. If he's in the rotation and sucks then the team will not make the NCAA. There cannot be a repeat of 2018/19. If he steps up his game, if he has that other level that he was supposed to have potential...

    The path forward

This season is more or less done. At most we have two or three more victories to watch, which would in the big picture mean a really good season for this team. And still we've got a team that disappointed down the stretch and leaves us pessimistic about the future of the program. Perhaps best...

    Tyler

Can someone explain this one to me? Four weeks ago he was a beast. Recently he's acting bored, slow, disinterested. Missing easy shots, defending half heartedly, not going for the 50/50 stuff, not getting the important defensive boards. I watch and wonder if he even likes basketball that...

    Four items

Firstly, mostly, I don't know whether I'd like JBo if I were his peer, but on his behalf - "F#CK YOU HATERS". He won that game. Secondly, it should not have been that close. 4 or 5 rim-out threes. Poor/one-sided post officiating got us in trouble and we still weren't in the double until 30...

    Good and Bad

Good: Moss is on a tear. Garza is THE MAN. The team continues to fight. Trap defense. We had a chance to pull within 2 with a minute to play. Bad: Porous first half defense in both man and zone. Inability to create shots for shotmakers (JW and JB). Officials accurately calling the trap...

    QB

I like Nathan Stanley. He's an reasonably good B10 QB and seems to be a good kid. Not taking away from him. This is about the program. Iowa only gets to the next level with a great quarterback. We will always have both excellent and poor performances at all other positions. If we're not...

    Would you rather-

This is as much fun as I've had watching a non-Hawkeye NCAA tourney. I'd love to spend a month going to all the games. In that light, which would you rather attend? CBB- The three weekends of NCAA bball tournament (including the finals) MLB- AL or NL playoffs plus the World Series NFL- AFC or...

    ISU/Playoffs

Here's a thought. If ISU wins out, are they in the playoff? That would mean another top ten win (OSU) and likely another top five win in the B12 title game (OU). It's a year where a two loss team is likely to get in. ISU would have an incredible resume.

    Nate the Great

I'm surprised there aren't more comments on what a great game he had- probably the stats scaring people off. It was clearly his best of the year. I know he was a hero in the ISU game but last night showed us he's ready to be an excellent QB for the next 2.5 years. Three things we worried...

    Tyler Smith, Tucker, Sommerville, Thompson...

I was reading the thread on Dickerson and wondered this: Which Iowa transfer leaving the program represented the biggest loss? I can't think of a single transformative player leaving. Just tons of potential, possibilities. Who would have impacted the program had they stayed?

    Part of the solution

Is getting a legitimate third scorer on the floor. That would be Uhl. As much as I love Clemmons and what he brings, it makes little sense to have two point (read: can't shoot the three very well) guards on the floor at the same time. I hear you- "he's great on D"- then take out Mikey when we...
