I have to agree with your take. Playing not to lose would have been to run the ball up the middle and gain 1-2 yards. We went for the first down in an effort to put the game away. It looked to me like the call even surprised Indiana's defense. I just didn't work out.

I don't drink alcohol at the games. It makes no sense. Way overpriced. Food is the same. I wouldn't mind paying for some decent food but they have the same old, tired menu of items and no good choices.

I read the article too. But, just because every game could be on Peacock doesn't mean they will. It could be all of the remaining games, it could be none (with the exception of Nebraska, of course). I believe there is some sort of lottery between Fox, NBC and CBS and whatever is not selected...

I had heard at the time that he broke a bone in his foot. There are a lot of bones in your feet so no idea how serious it was. IIRC, that happened right before the first game against Albany. And as others have mentioned, foot injuries can take a while to heal. And you don't want to come back...

This. I don't know that it is so much we have to "figure it out" as much as we just have to play our best ball in the secondary. It won't be a shutout. They are going to make some plays. We have to limit them and do what @HuckFinn said.

The whole idea of moving off of Chryst was to "take the next step forward" and modernize the offense. They went out and got what they thought would do that; the culture change was what they wanted. Fickell brought in a pass happy offensive coordinator and that failed miserably. He was fired...

I don't think we win TOP by this margin but we will have to win it. It is, IMO, about as key of a statistic as there is for Iowa in this game. We've got to keep the ball away from that explosive offense.

Nebraska was very fortunate to get the score this close. They got the Hail Mary TD at the end of the first half. And a second half TD drive was stopped until the ref penalized a Michigan player for taunting which was a very weak call. Michigan was two touchdowns better.

You have to wonder if he makes it to Monday. They've lost something like 12 games in a row. And are probably staring down the barrel at a 0-12 season. Yikes!

Larger enrollment includes the satellite campuses. The flagship school in Lincoln is actually smaller than Iowa and Iowa State. Of course, a lot of the Omaha students are going to be big fans and supporters.
