It seems to make the most sense to keep all the rivalries intact and just rotate the divisions around every couple years. In that context, you can pretty much make everything work, and still add in a sense of randomness. Some nerd schedule maker could churn that out with great ease each year.

This. Let coaches challenge 1 call per game or per half. Not over ruled...lose a timeout. Limit it to charges/blocks and out of bounds type plays. It would at least alleviate the game hinging on a bad call if something could be challenged late.

There was a stretch around maybe the 10 minute mark in the 2nd half, where i thought Iowa got the short end of the stick on a handful of calls.....it was like a mini landslide. While MSU didn't make a run at that time, it surely didn't help Iowa extend the lead any.
