They say that obvious troll is obvious. AmIrite?

    Herbies latest projection.....

I would think so, yes. Wins over Michigan and Ohio State ON THE ROAD are significant, even if the Michigan win was extremely fortunate.

    Herbies latest projection.....

It's now late November, and Iowa is 1 of 2 teams that is still undefeated. Anyone who tries to keep Iowa out of the top 4 of the rankings at this stage is delusional, biased and negligent. IN LATE NOVEMBER, an undefeated power 5 conference team should always be ranked in the Top 4 regardless...

    How was atmosphere Saturday?

Good atmosphere. Not the greatest I have witnessed, but very good. The Pitt game was pretty good too. Best part of the "atmosphere" was the unexpected cell phone flashlight show that occurred during a commercial break. I'm not sure if anyone might have a photo of that, but it was something I...

    Carnage Behind Us

Oklahoma may only have 1 loss, but it's a really bad one. Really, really bad. It's difficult for me to imagine a scenario where that doesn't hurt them more than the win at Baylor helps them. I could be wrong. It's happened once before.

2015 Hawkeyes Compare Favorably to 2002 & 2009 Through Nine Games

I remember that the 2002 offense just seemed to be prolific. Against Minnesota on their opening drive, Iowa never had a 2nd down. It was incredible. I think Iowa led the Big Ten in total offense and scoring that season. It just goes to show how much the offenses in college football have...

Hawks vs Rudock in B10 Champ game?

This is from MedinaBuckeye1 on the Scout.com College Football News Forum. Perfectly accurate. Michigan's job is to win out including a victory over OSU in Ann Arbor. OSU needs to beat Michigan State in Columbus. That puts Michigan and Rudock in the CCG vs Iowa. Update for the 11/7 games...

    Dave from CFBMatrix...

For Iowa, style points do not matter. Iowa must win the BIG championship game and be undefeated to make the playoff. We all know that formula. For some of these Big 12 teams (and others that have been national favorites since August), style points might/do matter. They could get jumped by a...

    Iowa vs Indiana Prediction Thread

This is the game I have been most concerned about, but as the season has progressed I now believe Iowa will win for 2 main reasons: 1. Desmond King. Indiana likes to throw the ball...a lot! Desmond King takes away 1/2 of the field, and at some point he will intercept them. Maybe several...

Jon's instant reax to playoff poll

This is a year that Iowa can boost their recruiting by being in the national spotlight, but when you hear the ESPN guys slamming Iowa around every corner, that doesn't help anything. It's not just Iowa fans that hear this, it's recruits as well. People are ignorant. They tend to think that if...

Announcers: Mike Patrick, Ed Cunningham and Dr. Jerry Punch

Dr. Jerry Punch..... veteran NASCAR guy. Smooth operator. So, Iowa must be having a good season if we are starting threads about who will be calling the next game. Most years this is only news if it's Beth "whatshername???"

    Disconnect

Jon's contempt (shared by Iowa fans everywhere) with the national media, is that they insinuate that Iowa has not played any meaningful games against quality opponents to this point. Discounting the Hawks while boasting about the resumes of Baylor, OSU, MSU, TCU, etc.... is just ridiculous...

    Why the constant Rudock loving?

He quit. Plain and simple. At Michigan he doesn't mind competition. At Iowa, competition was alright so long as he was #1. Once that competition relegated him to #2, he QUIT! That looks entitled and spoiled to me. Addition by subtraction.

    Which Scenario?

Any of those scenarios will significantly improve Iowa's national image. Especially with recruiting.

    Iowa's Impressive Defense

Decided to take a look at the statistics now that the conference season is 1/2 of the way complete. Iowa is looking impressive on defense! National Rankings: Total Defense: #7 Rushing Defense: #5 Scoring Defense: #6 Pass Defense: #41 Yds Allowed per Pass Attempt: #13 Passing Efficiency...

    Gameday Ripping The Hawks

Hopefully they put these clips, headlines and commentaries on a constant loop on the TV's at the Iowa Football Complex. Let the players see how disrespected they are by the "Experts". Let that fuel them to keep proving everyone wrong!

    Why the constant Rudock loving?

Exactly! I was initially supportive of Jake when he transferred. I was surprised that KF let him go to another BIG school, but it didn't appear there would be any chance Iowa would have to compete against him. Where Jake lost my support is when he was interviewed during Fall Camp at Michigan...

Do you really believe the Hawks are good enough to be a playoff team?

Why are you so sure of that? This isn't one of the tough, smash-mouth Jim Tressel OSU defenses. They have a lot of talent and speed, but haven't played a single team that will match, or surpass their physicality. I think the true assessment of OSU will be when they play MSU and Michigan.
