    ESPN Gameday this morning

Gameday crew has had an underlying snarkiness towards Iowa football the last 5 years or so. I'm not sure how to word it. Drinking.

    Keegan's Contract

He is at $8 mil a year. I see Harrison Barnes is at $18/yr. Don’t think it will stay like that for long.

Leistikow Says Petras Will Start Saturday

I cant believe people think its a fair comparison. One kid has started for three years. The other has played a couple of games, and then gets thrown in to the wolves at OSU. Petras would have shit his pants if that was his first game action this year.

Jon Miller's take on the Saturday Massacre in the Shoe

Why would you want a coach who is so bad that is going to be fired, coaching up your kids for the next 6 weeks.

Jon Miller's take on the Saturday Massacre in the Shoe

Correct this offensive failure started last year. The coaches had a chance to change QBs at the beginning of the year or game two when everyone realized Petras wasn’t it. Iowa does it when the backup has no chance at success.

    Padilla…”What’s the upside?”

How many reps has Padilla had with the first team this year? Comparing that to third year Petras is fair? Knowing that Petras isn’t moving the needle they could have had Padilla starting 6 weeks ago gaining experience against South Dakota and not Ohio State.

Howe: Don't Count Out Michael Myers' Turn for Kirk Ferentz

I could read Urban Meyers thoughts. Dude is going to go back to coaching and his first call is going to be Phil Parker.

Brian is the least of the problems on offense

I’m sure he could do better with Ohio State’s offense. As would any one of us.

Practice National Champions vs Osu Game thread

The ideal situation would have been to put Padilla in at the end of the game and let him start next week. I am expecting the Ferentz's to say, see Padilla is not vetter option and continue to start Petras next week. Wondering what Padilla would have looked like with two weeks of prep leading...

Experience really. Not sure about his deep ball either. But man that elusiveness and short game looks alright.

Gotta try and run for that Padilla.

Unreal that Padilla gets in and makes two mistakes. Just horrible luck for the kid, this is his chance. Just wished his chance started last year.

Maybe I'm not thinking correctly but...

And then he fumbles the snap. JFC.

Maybe I'm not thinking correctly but...

Padilla has never gotten as fair of a shot as Petras. Even when Petras was injured. Would like to see an alternate reality were Padilla has started for 2 years...

    Preview, Prediction: Iowa-Ohio State

We've all heard about how Iowa makes teams drive the length of the field without making mistakes, if they score kuddos to the other team. Well, that doesn't work so well against the elite offenses like it does the Iowa States of the world. Our only chance is a reliving of the 2010 Iowa at OSU...

    Explosive plays

I guarantee they have something new for Ohio State. Seems like a trend with this staff. Lets just hope it is not the wildcat. They hear the noise. Look Iowa has some good pieces. They just need to figure out what each player is best at and adapt. A system is nice, if you have the right pieces.

If, on the 1% chance Iowa can somehow beat OSU in the Shoe,

I would love for Iowa to win. But for some reason I don’t even want them to look competitive. 2014 was the year for me, Kirk had to be forced to play CJ Bethard the next year and win 12 games. Luckily for Kirk he didn’t stick with his gut (James V) so he still has a job.

    Offensive Weekend

They are stuck on thinking, if the offense scores too fast the defense won't get enough rest.

    Padilla…”What’s the upside?”

Cool. Still should have been fired. The University gave him a third shot to right his own ship, does the guy need a forth?
