I went there last time Iowa played in AA and parked at the Golf Course and it was a blast! We had a lot of fun with the Michigan fans and it was a fun atmosphere leading up to the game. Inside the stadium I was disappointed by the lack of sound 100K+ people can make, I guess you are just so far...
Im actually going to go with an off the radar type guy. While it would be nice to get some of the top RB on our list, we are stacked at RB for the moment. I am really hoping Coe or Miller commits but I am not banking on it.
Derby is a great athlete and by enrolling early, he got extra time in the strength and conditioning program. I think the switch may fit him well to see the field early at Iowa. Hopefully he can stay healthy, work hard, and impress the coaches.......
The kid didnt have great size and was on the fence for a while now. Iowa has quite a few prospects who are HIGHLY rated WR and still have us in the picture. Hopefully we can secure one of these big name guys in his place. He didnt want to be a Hawkeye, not a huge lose in my eyes.........
This is going to be down played and nothing will come of this except maybe some probation.......Urban is a creep and probably made up most of his health problems to be in the spot light so more people would stroke his ego.........
I think if this kid didnt give his verbal to Iowa (and he still may gain interest), he would be getting offers from other big programs come this fall. His measurables are great and his academics are top notch. He plays quarterback and safety (recruited at LB) and benches over 330lbs, that is...
Unless CJ really improves his blocking skills (which he might), I think his role will be during passing downs....Reisner is ready for a HUGE breakout year. I think Reisner is going to have a year like Brandon Myers did a couple of years ago and get himself drafted. He is a fundamentally sound player
As a graduate student at Vanderbilt, going to the football games is a pretty good way to spend a Saturday. I get tickets for $25 for the whole season and get free parking not to mention get to see some of the better teams in the country. As for Johnson retiring, it sounds like in order to save...
This kid is HUGE. 6'7 and runs a decent 40 time. He is athletic and am sure he will get a shot at DE at Iowa but I see him as a starting offensive tackle in the future at Iowa. Looks like another solid prospect!
pretty dumb move especially given the potential of this years team. I graduated from Iowa recently and it doesnt take a very smart person to realize that cops are out to get OWI and other violations to anyone driving after midnight.......stupid
You probably know nothing about recruiting and nothing about how the Hawkeyes recruit. They dont offer just anyone or throw just in case offers out there. I trust Coach Campbell and I am sure this kid is worth the offer and commitment. He performed quite well at the Nike Combine against some top...
We went there last time Iowa played up there and had a great time. We stayed at some dive hotel that was a bed to drink off the night before. My advise is to not spend a lot of hotel unless you truly plan on being there a lot. As far as tailgating, the high school is great and so is the golf...
Every time I come back for football games we still park at Myrtle Ave but it just isnt the same since the tornadoes and the University closing the Hill..........good memories
