Iowa opens as a 7 point favorite over Illinois

I had a very bad dream last night. Illinois won 63-62, on a last micro-second three-point shot. Woodbury and Olaseni were a combined 1 for 8 from the FT line. Please help me snap out of this.

    IL game looming large....

I'm worried about this game, for some reason. Maybe it's because of the overconfidence expressed in this thread, very similar to what I was reading before the Minnesota game at Carver. And also remember the momentum Iowa had going into that game. Please tell me I'm worried for no good reason...

    Dickerson is transferring

I think Trey will be an excellent PG for a Division II school.

Iowa 1 point favorites @ Neb

Pitchford is a dirtier player. I think he really shoved his shoulder hard into Pete's face on that play.

Dolphin says he appears to be OK. Dolphin said he took a blow to the chin, but I think the eye injury was the real issue. Hope the cornea is intact.

    The Dickerson dilemma

He needs quite a lot of work in the weight room too. Looks frail and tiny.

    Iowa vrs Rutgers

Not weird at all. That's the norm in all cases for all teams. Many are meltdown threads that are sometimes infected by trolls, which sometimes leads to a bunch of attacks against posters, as well as the coaches, team, players, etc.

    Iowa vrs Rutgers

He was reckless in the last 10 minutes, which was reckless in general. Seemed like Rutgers made about a dozen turnovers in those last 10 minutes.

    Current RPI = 60

4-2, plus 1 (or more) BTT win = IN 4-2, one and done in BTT = Bubble 3-3, plus 2 (or more) BTT wins = IN 3-3, plus 1 BTT win = Bubble 3-3, one and done in BTT = OUT 2-4 = OUT (unless they win BTT)

    NW wins at MN

Would be nice to see them knock off a team with a better RPI than Iowa's, but I haven't checked their schedule.

it confrims that Iowa had two BAD losses in a row.

I don't think Fran is like Kirk in that he expects lackluster results

Both men care. Both are serious, show emotions in different ways. Both want to win every game. Ferentz is stubborn in his ways, resistant to any change, loyal to assistants, and will likely continue to have a mediocre football team for the next 3 years at least. Bowl appearances may not be...

Time for Shock Treatment. Leave Uthoff and Jok, the other 3

Dickerson is not in Iowa's plans this year, that's obvious. And it's the right call. He has quicks, but doesn't use it to his advantage and he has no one-on-one moves from what I've seen. Instead he gets out of control and is too frail to drive and finish at the hoop. He may look faster than...

Time for Shock Treatment. Leave Uthoff and Jok, the other 3

It's funny how Fran is a genius when they win and a complete idiot when they lose. The sub patterns won't change, in that the main 4 bench guys will continue to get minutes and Dickerson will continue to sit on the pine. But subbing depends much on game flow, fouls, specific game...

    Mindset of this Team??

The mindset is a lot more solid than the mindset of the team a year ago at this time.
