What can we learn from Iowa's first 10 plays?

I have always been of the opinion that one of the reasons that Iowa is so different in November than they are in September is that Ferentz, by design, focuses on fundamentals and basics more than most. I think many other staffs begin game planning earlier and as a result maybe look a little more...

Poll: Would you go to games if this happened here?

No. I couldn't watch of cheer for iowa ever again if something like this happened. I would move on to other interests. there is no way to rectify a cover up of this magnitude. Removing those even remotely involved would be too little too late and reek of nothing more than a campaign to save...

What will Kinnick be like for PSU?

If this happened at Iowa, and was covered up for years by so many people, I could no longer support the program. I think fans of the conference need to send a universal message and stay outside of the stadiums for the game vs PSU. Realistic? probably not.

"Olaseni has the most abilities on the team"

Ill go with this. I think by his jr sr years, we may see a guy that gets it and can really use that athleticism.

2014 Basketball Recruiting: Interests and Offers

    Gesell > Paige

Not fair. The public at large has never ever seen Robin's true super power. What happens in the bat cave stays in the bat cave.

Give Gesell The Keys - QCTimes.com

    1. None of them were pgs. I was speaking exclusively about pgs. 2. I respectfully disagree that they consistently took over like Woolridge did. They all were great, maybe even better players and NBA prospects, but look at Woolridge's team and look at how they finished the season, then look at...

Give Gesell The Keys - QCTimes.com

Woolridge was a freak. He was by no means a great ball handler, in fact his ball skills were adequate at best. His shooting ability was .... well see above. He used his phenomenal strength, speed drive and vision to simply dominate. There were games, that it felt like Iowa was over matched so...

Eric May is healthy and ready to contribute

I see the same thing. With up tempo style of play that we use I see our rotation going very very deep with every able and capable body contributing to some extent. A healthy Eric May allows us to keep pressure on that much longer with fresh ant talented players.

Gatens takes 8 pre-draft visits to NBA teams

I know what many on here say about the NBA and their athletes, but I believe Matt could be a valuable addition to the right team. I believe he could push guys in practice and fill a nice role as at the end of a rotation. I hope he gets a shot.

Mika'il McCall felt Iowa handed him everything

For discussion sake I would argue that McCall is / was a great talent at a position of need. Perhaps that seemed to lead to an easy road, however the numerous " under the radar guys and walk ons that have worked their way to success here, would seem to discredit the Notion that Iowa is a place...

    Woodbury gets schooled

Having also had tickets for the Jepsen years, I can honestly say Adam is light years ahead at the same age. One thing about Les though is that he worked hard and kept learning the game. In the end he earned a ticket to the big show. If Adam has Jepsen' s grit and determination he will be...

Uthoff to Iowa: How did it Happen? Impact?

If "Tampering" is as I understand it, Direct contact with coaches, then I find all of the accusations kind of funny. That's not to suggest it's impossible, just pretty unnecessary. The Uthoff's live and work in a community just a few miles from the Univeristy. It doesn't take a rocket...

    Mike Gesell Video

I'm comparing him to 2 former 4 year starters before they set foot on campus. I think he is currently at that level. Where he goes from here is up to him and his body. Also, if another freshman beats him out for other than health reasons, there is a decent chance that freshman might have done...

    Mike Gesell Video

I wouldn' t say that he's not better than Dean or Jeff at the same point in his career. Only time will tell, but from what I have seen, I honestly think he has the most rounded / complete game of the 3 at the same point in their career.
