    When JBo returns next year...

Well, in that case, assuming we are trying to protect a lead, we might have both JBo and JoeT on the floor at the end of games. Both are excellent FT shooters.

    When JBo returns next year...

To some degree I think it depends on how much JoeT improves his game over the summer. He needs to cut down on his TO's and improve his outside shot, although it was looking pretty good down the stretch. I trust both of these players to not make it an issue no matter who starts.

    Why Luka Got Screwed!

Don't know the answer to the OP's riddle, but I do now that Garza did get screwed and that's not just a butthurt Iowa fan talking. By almost any INDIVIDUAL standard, Garza had better numbers and played a much tougher schedule. If the POY award has somehow become "best college player on a team...

Which current HCs' Caused the Game to be too Physical?

Bobby Knight changed the game of basketball with his emphasis on physical man to man defense, but they were nothing by today's standards. Today's officiating has changed the game from basketball to rugby, and certain obvious coaches have decided to take advantage of it assuming that the refs...

Part of me almost wants Fran to get an early T....

I would love to have another OSU game where we run out to a double digit lead and hold serve the rest of the way while tiny Tommy fumes on the sidelines.

    The Murray twins’ development?

I was a bit surprised about how the twins have bulked up. Last time I saw them, they were a few inches shorter and 15-20 pounds lighter. They look like B1G ready players now, at least physically.

    On to MSU

I assume you're talking about the refs?

    On to MSU

I don't care if JoeT doesn't score a single point as long as he makes Winston's life miserable the entire game.

    Huge game at Purdue

Ah, remember that brief stretch that Sophomore year when Dom was hitting jumpers and made us all feel as though he was just about to come into his own? Good times!

    Foster should have waited.

Iowa was never in play for Carton. He always felt he was too talented to play for the Hawks. I guess before we mock him for his choice, we should beat Ohio St. this year (and hell, every year) to prove to him he made the wrong decision.

    Biggest Game, YTD

A win tonight would put us tied for second and provide a bit of separation from the middle pack. Important game.

The Opening Tip: Rival Wisconsin Visits Carver-Hawkeye Arena

That loss at home last season was particularly galling. Kick some butt tonight, guys!

Say it with me, SAME OL HAWKEYES

With Garza on the floor, I don't think there is any way we come out flat. He won't let us.

Fredrick, C-Mac Availability for Nebraska Up in Air

I thought CJ was moving fine in the first half against PSU until the 4:40 mark of the half. He jumped out at his man on D and came up lame after that. If this is long lasting, it could definitely toss some cold water on what appeared to be a promising season.

    Joe Toussaint

Joe T. is turning into a really bright spot for this team and given that he is only a freshman, I would bet his star just gets brighter as long as he is here. Great recruiting by McCaffery.

    Sagarin B1G MBB rankings

It was definitely a "home game" for the Lions. In fact a much better arena for them than that morgue on campus they call their home court.

I don't ever want to hear Clown fans

We've lost JBo and Nunge for the year and still beat a competent Cincinnati team at a neutral site. This experience with with FA&M should preclude them from ever bringing up some of our past bad losses forever....but it won't.

    Was Xavier there?

There are college kids that can get up and block shots too. Garza just has the footwork down and has a knack for putting the ball in the basket. Where he would struggle in the NBA is on defense.
