Just curious so I looked up the definition of Professional
"Person engaged in a specified activity especially a sport or branch of performing arts as a main paid occupation rather than a pastime"
I guess you could make the argument either way. With a player like Proctor if he starts what will...
Not only does our defense and Special teams "keep" us in games they actually win games! fortunately Wisconsin mirrors Iowa futility on the offensive side but credit a great defensive effort and special teams to take advantage
On the flip side our offense can only be described as "painful"...
Was the last two weeks of decent Offense a bad Northwestern team and a Purdue team headed down or is Iowa finally putting it together? Wisconsin always has a good defense so today will be telling
Yea Fran does a pretty good job of developing players especially the big kids. And Iowa made a nice run in the Big Ten tournament to give him his first championship in his tenure at Iowa. Not so good in the Big Dance
Freeman is probably the top recruit of the class he was offered by some big time programs. But I just can't compare this class to Horton Armstrong Lohaus Gamble and Marble. Not even in the same ball park
It appears Johnson probably doesn't hit the field this year. Too bad as he would have helped for sure. What about Jacobs? haven't heard much on him lately and Do they expect Roberts back next week
Not many things to not like about Saturday's crushing of Purdue but what in the Hell is Campbell...
You are just too good! Had they been able to run the ball they would have beaten Penn State in first game. Couldn't hold lead because they couldn't run clock out.
Purdue is 130 yards per game 90th in Nation in rushing. Meh Over 300 yards per game throwing
4 OL 5 DL 1TE 1LB 1CB I QB and 4 athletes that look to be headed to the defensive side
No RBs, No Wrs, at least that is the way 247 reports it.
Going to be tough to recruit skilled players especially WRs to this offense
Both Pertras and Padilla are not D-1 QBs. Labas is now in his second year and yet hasn't really been considered by the coaching staff. I know Ferentz is stubborn but not stupid as he has made changes in the past when things got bad AND THEY ARE BAD so what does that say about Labas???
As the game was winding down (thank God) I started wondering about next week and next year. Watching Iowa has become "Painful" as we all know. The description one National Broadcaster gave "Abysmal" probably is the best when describing our offense, although I have heard a lot of other negative...
I see he is not on the depth chart for Ohio State. I don't have any Intel on him but one gets the feeling he may not play for Iowa again? Anyone know how soon Black might be back? or if Vines will play this year at some point
Read an earlier post that said 17? Didn't read the entire post so possibly was updated. 28.5 sounds about right I think I probably would take Ohio State and give the points.. We have a very good defense but we just don't see that kind of speed. Lot's of big plays for Ohio State and none for...
Saw an Article which listed their choices
Houston 3-3 I guess they thought they would be good
Wisconsin Choice to win West fires their coach
Miami 2-3 Boy they sure used to be good
Michigan State (2-4 I think) Paid the guy a Zillion dollars and turn to crap
Nebraska I guess I expected...
Can't say ever been on a turnip truck.. No fans can't have immediate impact but losing and boring football leads to empty seats and that "eventually" does have impact
