    The sad part about Weisman

Duff, if you can't see at this point I am intentionally keeping the "kick me" sign on to bait you guys than you seriously need to start coming to stuipd classes with me. Because it's a message board. You can't kick me. I don't really care what you think about me, my education, my football...

    The sad part about Weisman

Ghost and Duff, is it okay for idiots like me to question that last circle jerk with the field goal team? Just want to know the boundaries here.

    The sad part about Weisman

You are right, signed, Colin Sleeper starting over Jordan Bernstine in week 1 last year. Look, you guys have already proven I'm an idiot. Now you are just kicking me while I'm down.

    The sad part about Weisman

And Ghost, if you cannot read my first post and infer it has something to do with this performance against Central Michigan as well as the overall team's performance the past 2 plus years, than you need to start coming to the stupid kid classes with me instead of those AP ones you apparently are...

    The sad part about Weisman

Gee, Ghost, now you have hurt my feelings. I'm too dumb to keep up with you, I guess. I guess declarative statements are inherently stupid if they question Ferentz. LIke you said, I am an idiot. But you keep coming back at me, so you must like picking on morons like me, or be just stuipd...

    The sad part about Weisman

Yep, I am an idiot b/c I question Iowa's football coach. In any event, as dumb as I am it's nice to know Central Michigan apparently has an apparent genious as its coach since Ferentz is so smart and he has managed to out-gameplan him.

    The sad part about Weisman

No problem, Ghost. You are so wise and smart. I should have known not to get into a back and forth with you. I mean, anyone who has the audacity to question how Central Michigan could take a two score lead into halftime on the road against a Big Ten team with one of the highest paid coaches...

    The sad part about Weisman

Right, I have no clue. This football thing is sooooo tough. You need a masters degree to understand football. That's why so many pre-meds lead the all-american lists and so many PhD's are coaches.

    The sad part about Weisman

In typical Ferentz fashion it takes injuries for the team to figure out its best players were on the bench or in Weisman's case limited to blocking. We've got two freak athletes in Law and Alston wasting away on the bench...I don't care whatpositions they play you need to find a way to get your...

    ******OFFICIAL game thread.*****

SIck feeling KF is trying to win this game 24-13. Third and 3, UNI selling everyone out to stop the run and we run it right into the teeth.

Question for HawkeyeGameFilm: 3rd down QB read before first field goal

Bullock bumped into the d end as he was running the swing. The linebacker guarding Bullock hesitated when he saw this and sat in the passing lane on the slant. How JVB didn't recognize this is a mystery because the linebacker has to be his only read on the play. He follows the runningback then...

    Iowa's New Combat Uniform (PIC)

Would it be too much to ask for Scheels to start using one of their male mannequins when displaying new uniforms? I can't get into these with that dummy standing in such a feminine pose.

Kirk Ferentz Press Conference Quotes as he speaks...FINISHED

I don't disagree with any of that. I guess my biggest disappointment so far is that I really believed with bringing in a new coordinator we would get a much better sense of urgency particularly from the offense. I know KF doesn't care what I think about his press conferences. I don't want him...

Kirk Ferentz Press Conference Quotes as he speaks...FINISHED

I don't expect KF to reveal anything in his press conferences anymore, but just once I'd like to see him go McCaffery: "If you think I'm just going to sit on my hands while we only score 6 points in a rivalry game than you have the wrong guy. We've watched the tape, we know what the problems...

    Iowa v UNI Two Deep

Except Schnoor actually started over Sims to start the 2005 season. During the 23-3 debacle at ISU, Young played great, but every time he needed to come out Schnoor (not Sims) came in and proceeded to average about 1.5 yards per carry - with the same blocking and same schemes that Young was...

Upon further review...not as bad as I thought (very, very long)

There were several of those types of throws to Manley on 3rd down - from re-watching the game Manley correctly sat on the route b/c the coverage was to the inside, and JVB kept throwing it inside towards the coverage. Looked to me like it was a JVB issue, not a Manley issue on those reads. I...

Upon further review...not as bad as I thought (very, very long)

I stomached through re-watching the ISU game. I'm not not as down as I was having seen it again. The talent is not that bad (it's not great, but not as horrendous as some think). The offense is still predicatable and slow, and they desperately need to re-think the redzone philosophy. This is...

    Apathy is a dangerous thing

Most everyone believed this season would be a struggle. The problem is that we all believed the defense would be the reason the team struggled and that the offense would give us a ray of hope. The offense has been horrendous, and I don't see how it gets exponentially better next year (the...

I thought coaching was great today - ITS THE TALENT STUPID

Which brings me back to the real issue: the offensive scheme stinks. Talented Iowa teams struggled to execute it; less talented teams put up 6 points against ISU at home.

I thought coaching was great today - ITS THE TALENT STUPID

I just don't understand how hard it is to install one play inside the 10 where we go jumbo package max protect, but split our 6-7 tightend out by himself against a 5-9 corner, have JVB throw the ball up and have CJ go catch it. You don't need 11 talented players to execute that play. You just...
