was 3-2 end of first. Consider the competition today, Evans still better choice in the long run.

    2013 for the Hawks

Evans will not be at 165 next year. You seem so sure he can't beat Ethan. I guess we will see.

    2011 Midlands

Agree 100%, thats why IMO Nick needs to go 157. He is our best choice for the points. Besides he needs the mat time because we don't know how long it will be till DSJ is back. I have confidence that Nick will do an excellent job at 157.

    2011 Midlands

My mistake should have read if DSJ is not at Midlands, and since Kelly is going 149, it would make sense that Nick Moore drop to 157 to wrestle. I believe he is our strongest option at 157 if DSJ will not be wrestling. JMO

    165...

I respectfully disagree with you. I believe it will be Evans.

Come on fellas we need some updates!

Let me remind you that it was a bunch of East Coast wrestlers with a few implants from other states that beat us last year at Big Tens and Nationals. I like Evans, Moore, Kelly Telford and all our recruits from that No #1 class. Let's address the statement implying Evans , not having the right...

    Practice Observations

Thanks for the response much appreciated. Did you have any idea who Nick Moore was wrestling I don't believe you answered that question. As for the competition between Evans and Moore, I was talking to someone who was in the room on Wednesday and they said Evans was handling Moore, so I guess...

    Practice Observations

Glad to hear about practice. Sounds to me that Kelly must be close to making that 149 mark if he is working out with Marion. Also who was Nick Moore working out with? Your observation of Evans is interesting. It's obvious Evans has to tweak some things however I give him a pass, if what they...

    Mike Evans

I guess you want a pat on the back for being the one "in the know" Not exactly something to be proud of. We all have done things in our lives that have not always gotten us the right attention. Lets face it, we are only fans and it is none of our business, we are all gossips and some become...

    Mike Evans

I am sure the DUI is the reason and meeting the requirements that go with it. If we have not heard it from Coach Brands mouth or read it in one of Coach Brands interviews then I am going to assume Evans is going through the process required by the school.

    Evans

I am going to say something that may ruffle a few feathers. As I watch these other teams such as Penn State who have a lot of PA kids on the team, one thing becomes apparent. East Coast wrestlers wrestle to pin, they rack up points. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of others that don't...

Campolatanno decides to change his mind

Campolatanno from New Jersey has changed his mind and reopened his wrestling recruiting posibilites. The kids only loss was to our own Mike Evans. I read somewhere that Camp is wrestling 215 this year, so 197 is not out of the question.

    Flash Flanagan Open

I don't see Evans ever wrestling 197, I think thats wishful thinking. He is just not big enough to compete at that weight.

    Flash Flanagan Open

Agreed on Evans, however what if Lofthouse and or Evans (if possible) move down to 65? Lofthouse has already competed at Fila's at 63 so it can be done. If not I'm afraid to see Evans transfer out as well but may be a real possiblity.

    Flash Flanagan Open

I stand corrected, Walt Gilmor has the most pins on the team. As for Evans I thought he pinned kids from Missouri at an open as well as a few other opens and one kid a Midlands, I didnt know they were DIII. I agree it doesn't make Evans or Gilmor a starter. Maybe they should move to DIII...
