If you walk the tracks it's not that bad but I've heard the cops are sniping the tracks on the east side for knuckleheads

I agree, and that's what I did but I am surprised at how many people, especially in wooded neighborhoods, can't get a sightline with the satellite, so dish is not an option for them.

The cops were writing tickets predominantly as you left University Heights on the RR bridge towards Kinnick.

(not trying to be an a$$hole) Mediacom is a good example of a business that is a monopoly in most parts of Iowa that continually sh$ts on it's clients.

I don't disagree with what you are saying, and I am not saying what the UI is doing is necessarily right. But where I think your restaurant analogy falls apart is because there are no other restaurants to go to, i.e. other than ISU, what's the next closest DI college football town? We don't have...

In all honesty, the OSU game last year was one of the coolest times I have had at a football game; even as a fan of the visiting team. Yeah, the pre-game festivities are different here but the whole environment was pretty bad a$$ in Columbus.

Where is Big Ten after this weekend.

Of all the predictions you made, you couldn't be further from the truth re: the Iowa game. Just like last year, people were scared of this game. Iowa has turned a corner, not Nat'l Championship caliber but last year opened the eyes of the players on this team & I don't see this game being a...

Yep, you are right. I remember as a kid it was acceptable to do lines of coke in downtown Shell Rock. Did you know prostitution is allowed in Windham? Apples to Oranges.

That was my point. The tailgating @ Columbus wasn't significantly better or worse than in Iowa City but everyone was constantly cognizant of the fact that they couldn't be caught with an open can or bottle of beer. They didn't b*$ch about it, it's just the way it was & they dealt with it.

FWIW, my work @ the UI has been supported by a donor to the University of Iowa, who considers themselves, small donors to the UI athletic program. But they still donate millions of dollars to the athletic program annually. With all due respect, these are the donors that can afford the UI to...

I have read that the UI is trying to promote an alcohol free education to the class of 2014; meaning that they understand that the sophs/junoirs/seniors have already been influenced by the old policy enforcement, so they have focused their efforts beginning on this incoming class. I don't see...

That wasn't my point, trust me, I'm the last one pushing that socialized sh$t agenda. We just found it funny that a kid can get sh$t out of his system before he gets his drivers license in the Netherlands. This person in particular moved here at the age of 19, so he couldn't drink in the US...

I was never once preaching. What I have said all along is the law is the law. But what I have also said, is the laws that are being enforced are pretty much laid out, and if you really wanted to get around them, it's not so hard that it should ruin your experience. Don't tailgate on...

Hopefully you aren't being condescending to me; I didn't imply good riddance in any way. I was just saying that if he is not practicing, not on the field, and technically not on the team, how could he lose a year of eligibility without redshirting. Someone brought up the 5 yr rule & if he still...
