Hawk fans have had the reputation of making excuses for their losses for YEARS. I think we're finally getting to the point of being able to legitimately see the existing errors, weaknesses, etc. and own up to it instead of blaming refs, blaming injuries, blaming hemorrhoids itching, whatever...

Hope they both are sitting out. Hopefully we can win easily without them, and I agree with giving more playing time/experience to others. Central Michigan beat Northern Illinois last year 48-41. Feels strange that we have both of those schools on our schedule this year.

I don't either. Looks like about half of the teams in their conference are in the top of the top 25 on all of the polls, before our first Big 10 teams finally makes an appearance. They lost Missouri and Nebraska out of their conference, both good teams and usually stronger than ISU, and who...

Yeah, The Big 12 is a very big pond these days! ISU is not one of their bigger fish swimming in it. We'd be a minnow in that pond.

I think you sure could be right. Might be a long year for them too. And since we don't have to play them this season, I think we would most certainly have beaten them soundly if we'd have had them on our schedule! ;)

Naw.. I still think Wisconsin had a ****** day and nearly got upset. And UNI isn't as good as they, therefore, had looked on paper. And I don't think Wisconsin is going to turn out to be quite as good as many of us had thought they might be, before this season opened. We'll see as the season...
