This chant would be pretty dumb, IMO. We as a fanbase have more taste/class to be claiming we "own" anyone.

The thought of seeing this sounds like nightmarish and like something straight out of Final Destination or some bad movie. It's disturbing to know this happened on a holiday to fellow Iowans.

I'd have to chose Penn State '08. Seeing all of the green in the stands, going onto the field, the weather, etc. was pretty euphoric. If we could have managed to beat OSU last year in OT that would probably have been a tie but we lost and it wouldn't seem right to have my favorite game...

I really don't think he said it as a rub against ISU. He's not from here, he was probably thinking more along the lines of there aren't any pro teams in the state.

This may be true but don't forget where our head coach's area of expertise is either. I'm fairly confident the line will come together. That being said, I'm really hoping for a 10+ win season. Anything less than 9 wins would really put a damper on the current momentum of the program.
