    Shocking Story on Everson/Satterfield Trial

    Good grief. Did anybody learn from the embarassing situation that took place on Hawkeye message boards a few weeks ago? You know, when many Hawkeye football players were singled out as drug users only to later be proved not to be. Think before you type.

    ARob wasn't that great (and the numbers to prove it)

    Young had more carries as a sophmore than Robinson did as a sophmore. But Young averaged nearly one yard more per carry and rushed for over 1,300 yards. Greene and Sims both backed up Young, so I'm not really sure where you're going with this. I think Greene more than proved he could produce...

    ARob wasn't that great (and the numbers to prove it)

    Hi, guys. Just thought I'd update the list of running backs with over 100 carries after last night's bowl game. :) Greene 2008 6.0 avg Coker 2010 5.5 avg Young 2005 5.4 avg Sims 2007 5.0 avg Sims 2006 5.0 avg Young 2007 4.7 avg Robinson 2010 4.6 avg Robinson 2009 4.6 avg Young 2006 4.4 avg...

    ARob wasn't that great (and the numbers to prove it)

    LOL. Nice try. My argument was enhanced with Coker's performance last night. We would've seen a lot more Coker this year if it weren't for Kirk's now dead man crush on ARob.

    LOL. You best address the topic of this thread before you get in over your head on other topics as well.

    ARob wasn't that great (and the numbers to prove it)

    ARob was a Soph this year and still averaged only 4.6 per carry. And sorry to ruin your man crush on Wegher. He wasn't a D1 running back...and the numbers show it.

    ARob wasn't that great (and the numbers to prove it)

    Young averaged 5.4 as a Soph. Greene averaged 6.4 as a Soph. Sims averaged 9.9 as a Soph. Any other questions? :)

    ARob wasn't that great (and the numbers to prove it)

    The list with a minimum of 50 carries rather than 25... Greene 2008 6.0 avg Young 2005 5.4 avg Hampton 2008 5.1 avg Coker 2010 5.0 avg Sims 2007 5.0 avg Sims 2006 5.0 avg Young 2007 4.7 avg Robinson 2010 4.6 avg Robinson 2009 4.6 avg Young 2006 4.4 avg Wegher 2009 4.0 avg And a minimum of 100...

    The list doesn't look any better for Robinson when only starters are listed. Two of the three backs below him fall off the list.

    ARob wasn't that great (and the numbers to prove it)

    Wegher was definitely overrated. A 4.0 avg. is terrible in college football, even for a true freshman. Hampton and Coker both averaged over 5 yards per carry as true freshmen.

    ARob wasn't that great (and the numbers to prove it)

    The yards per carry (minimum 25 carries) for every Hawkeye RB after the injury-marred 2004 season... Sims 2005 9.9 avg Greene 2006 6.4 avg Greene 2008 6.0 avg Young 2005 5.4 avg Hampton 2008 5.1 avg Coker 2010 5.0 avg Sims 2007 5.0 avg Sims 2006 5.0 avg Young 2007 4.7 avg Greene 2005 4.7 avg...

    ARob = Blessing in disguise

    Not really. The poster complements ARob in every way (plays hard, work ethic, etc.) except what really matters...is he an elite running back? And the answer to that question is, of course, "no". That's a problem as Iowa has a history of elite college running backs. So we can certainly do...

    ARob = Blessing in disguise

    And as we've seen before, Kirk has a bad habit of playing the experienced player with no upside over the inexperienced player with significant upside. Kyle McCann over Brad Banks, Jake Christiansen over Ricky Stanzi, etc. ARob was nothing special. His loss concerns me only from a depth...

    Iowa not in Final 3 for Katenda

    I like Fran, but he may have to replace one of the current assistants with a proved recruiter if the 2011 recruiting class is a disappointment.
