Expecting clones to start the year 4-0..... The folks that think the hawks will win 9 games are in for a rude awakening. Even with one of the easiest schedules in a BCS conference, the hawks face too many challenges to overcome.

If Niu is as good as ISU, then Iowa will most likely start the year 0-2. The young DL will need to get stronger and grow up in a hurry to give Iowa a chance to get some momentum.

The hawks are going to get beat up pretty good this year. when you combine youth, that was not good enough to supplant underperforming veterans from the year before, with staff turnover at both coordinating positions, you get a recipe for a tough year. The extremely weak schedule will help, but...

Knott wasn't back pedaling when he covered Blackmon in OT last year. He blanketed JB and tipped the ball which resulted in an INT. He can cover a TE just fine.

Don't sell the hawks short, as I believe they can stay close to the Clones for 3Qs. A blowout is certainly possible but I don't think the clone offense will be hitting on all cylinders by game two.

I don`t disagree that both were great CYCLONE wrestlers, but Cael was more accomplished and would have beaten Gable head to head, IMO. As far as coaching goes, Sanderson is just getting started, but two titles in a row is a good start.
