They would absolutely maul our defense- Norm could stay up all night for a year and could not overcome the difference in talent. Our offense would score pretty well against them, too. I'd say 45-21 Wisky give or take a TD.

I think it is several things- we are not in a big state with a lot of local recruits, I don't think we have a lot of salesmanship on our staff and that is what a lot of recruiting is about, we play vanilla O and D which is not attractive to a lot of 18 year olds, and we are in a cold weather...

I think this is probably true. I think KF and DJK frustrated each other to no end. DJK appears to be a good guy, but a free spirit. Kf is a great guy but very regimented and extremely stubborn; mixed like oil and water.

Maybe that is true about their AD's hard line. I guess that is why they got the FB coach they have and why they suck at most other sports.

If this is true, PU AD should be fired. Painter has done the same kind of rebuild @ Purdue as KF did at Iowa. Can't imagine that our AD would let KF go for that kind of deal.

One of the key reasons that Lick failed was the inexperienced staff he put together. How Barta did not monitor that is amazing to me because 7 years earlier Alford made the same mistake. Plus Lickliter did not have the Alford name which did help with people like Recker, etc.

I officiated years ago, and the rule then was that you can't call TO after 4 seconds, I guess it has changed. I agree there was contact on Brown's last shot, but very rarely is that called at that point unless it is really major. On the other hand, Brown shot a lot of free throws in the game...

Notice a little different approach to recruiting- Lickliter never ventured farther than Minnesota. If Fran gets Cezar and Meyer- his first 4 recruits will be from NY, GA, and 2 from California. That is what it is going to take to rebuild from the disaaster of the last 3 years.
