My thoughts as well, and I think a major (main?) reason he's sticking w/ Petras. If he sticks w/ Petras and the offense stinks, he gets fan / media angst for being stubborn (or clueless, or whatever). "Oh well" But, if he replaces SP and the offense still stinks? Now all the attention shifts...

The first part is true- the offense is a mess in every aspect. But that means it would take more than a few bold moves to save this season. The players are who they are, and any coaching / scheme changes would take a while to show results. Even if KF was a "bold move" coach...

That's a little highbrow for football, isn't it? How about Kirk Corleone / Vito Ferentz? I never saw any Godfather movies, but I know "Never go against the family".

After paying the extra $7.5 mil to fire SF now, I really doubt if it would go over well to replace him w/ Iowa's ST coach. They have to either have Joseph ( their Levar ) lead them to a decent season so they can keep him, or get another big name.
