A traveling fanbase doesn't mean as much as it used to. Now with the CFP, the conferences have more of a say in who goes where. If the Music City bowl wanted people to attend, they wouldn't have invited NW.

I have been a season ticket holder since 1999. Despite that, I have only made plans to go to two Hawkeye bowl games. The 2002 Rose Bowl, and the 2017 Music City Bowl.
