Cowherd (why do I still listen to this guy?) just reported that Oregon, through Nike's Phil Knight, is going to offer Tom Izzo 3.5 million per year to come to Orgeon.

Good. Then he won't be in the Big Ten anymore! :D
Maybe this is why Dayton's Gregory wanted to wait to speak with teams! BTW, I don't believe this for a second.

Why do you listen to that guy? He hates college sports and knows virtually nothing about college sports. The only takes he has about college sports are if they run their programs like pro teams and are in pro cities.

I actually don't know why he tries to talk about it at all.

Not if everyone boycots buying Nike shoes in the future. Sink that Oregon program.

You think Cookie's B-que sauce will pony up some cash for the Iowa program?

If I was Izzo, I would ask for 5 million a year. And I bet Oregon would pay it.

Izzo isn't going anywhere. I hope the Michigan State fans know how good they have it in hoops. Unbelievable success year after year.

They just announced on ESPN that Oregon was going to offer him the largest contract in the country....looks like Cowherd might have been right on this one.

I believe the offer, but don't think there is anyway Izzo leaves MSU. He already makes the final four every other year, and has a truckload of money. He seems like a Big 10 lifer to me.

I doubt that Izzo goes to Oregon. I think the interest from them will get Izzo some more money from Sparty.

I totally agree that Izzo won't leave, I was just pointing out that Cowherd likely had a solid source on the Oregon offer.

Cowherd is a big college sports guy, not sure why you say he doesn't. I think he likes it more than pros.

I doubt he goes but a nice move by Oregon to make a run for Izzo. Something I wish Iowa would have done, make a run at a big name coach.
