I can't put my finger on it, but I'm more excited for Gesell to begin his career as a Hawkeye than any other kid since I've been a Hawk fan. I grew up on Vince Brookins, Bob Hansen, Kevin Boyle, Mark Gannon, etc...
I think it's just that he exudes confidence, is a coach on the floor, willingness to pass/defend, good student. I guess I just put my finger on it. Great job, Fran and welcome aboard, MG!
