I think KF has done a good job overall rebuilding the program and I like KF and how he takes under recruited "athletes" and develops them as football players and students. KF does a lot of things the right way.
But I have to say I also agree with his detractors concerning his snarky replies and non-answers to press conference questions.
I can see he wants to win for his team and himself and coaches. But when you have 1,000,000 fans or more watching your games who are highly invested in seeing 2+wins to each loss and the occasional great season then you have to realize you have "customers".
The fans are the customers now and they deserve a better answer than "that's football".
When a reporter asks something like "What are some of the issues with the passing game?" the customers/fans would like to hear something more than "we have to clean things up". What things, it would be OK to say our route running is not crisp and the jvb and the receivers need to be more accurate in the plays, that the oline is giving good protection, and maybe we can work on certain routes to increase our efficieny"
Football started out along time ago like basketball with some people getting together to play games. It caught on with people watching the games and anticpating the games. If no one watched these games would not be important and they would be like the sandlot football I used to play when I was young.
