Can’t say that I am shocked about the lack of a Hawkeye. If marble showed better all-around game last year (better D) then he might squeak in. Then again that’s a really solid list.

This seems right. If Hardaway is 9, then no hawks on the list makes sense.

Hopefully the end of the year list looks different though.

This will be one of those years for the Hawks where the whole will be greater than the sum of the parts.

Can't argue with that list...the Big10 is loaded for bear this season and if nothing else, maybe it will make the boys work even more to get to that elusive "next level" in the conference.

Not a big Paul fan. Id probably knock him down to 11 and put Aaron White somewhere around 9 or 10.

Conference is very deep but no real superstars on that list outside of Zeller.

Im looking forward to playing PSU and seeing the Hawk guards actually being able to defend Frazier this year. Yes I am looking forward to watching defense, lol, just because it was gd pathetic last year.

White is not in that top 10 class by any stretch.

Good. I love it when we don't have the publicity. Let's play every game w/ a chip on our shoulder and pile up some wins. Go Hawks!

.

If you think Paul, Appling and Hardaway are better thats fine but to argue the margin is a significant one is where I have to completely disagree.

Paul and Hardaway are probably the two most overrated players in the B10. Paul is the definition of a volume scorer, White is much, much better in offensive efficiency stats than either of those two, just with a lower usage rate. Which is why plenty of people expect White to break out this year (see link below). By the end of the year I would expect to see him on a list like this.

Paul is not a great player to have on a team because he's kind of a dick and a ball hog, but he is a very good player, and he's going into his senior season, and no doubt he'll put up numbers that will dwarf White. Paul could very well average over 20 a game this year if Egwu has a pulse. Hardaway Jr. may be a bad shooter, but I don't think he's over rated by any stretch. He's a really big, fluid athlete who moves well without the ball and is a great piece in UM's zone defense with his incredible length.

Like I said Paul is the definition of a volume scorer, does not make him a good player. He might score 20, but it might take him 25 shots to get there.

It doesn't make him a bad player either. However, if he scores 17-20 ppg this season, he'll be considered one of the best players in teh BoneG. He's also a very good rebounder for a 2 guard.
