Thats awesome! I know i have mine and am pretty jacked. First year on campus so i dont know how to compare but the buzz is pretty awesome so far! Cant wait for the first game!

My guess is its probably been a decade since they sold that many. Student Section capacity is roughly 7 sections or 3,700ish.

In 2000-2001 with Alford student tickets sold in a hurry that year. Demand was at or near an all time high. I don't know that we are at that level yet, but we are getting back. Great to hear.

In 2006-2007 Iowa sold 1,022 Student Season tickets by October 1, which was a 16% increase over the prior year.

In 1999, it looks like it was up to about 4,000 by the time the season started.

LOL at the Panchero's pic, that is a good one. I watched the team scrimmage saturday morning, boys this Gessell kid is the real deal and is the type of PG we need and haven't had for a few years. I think we are borderline tourney this year for sure, and take a giant leap the following year. Perhaps better this year if the young guys perform at a higher level than expected.
