There is also a statistic somewhere about the % of seats in the Big crapHouse that are outside of the 20 yard lines. It's a huge number, like 60% or something. Totally crappy viewing angles; way too many endzone and corner seats.

Well, I have been to Kinnick and The Big House and I would watch 1,000 more games at The Big House than Kinnick if it were up to me. I have not been to either since there have been renovations on both.
Being in the student section at Kinnick was kinda fun, but not all that much fun. Another game I was at the seats were not good and couldn't see that much, somewhere in a corner.
At the Big House, I have been to a few more games and different seats...there is no bad seat in the stadium...actually, I take that back. When we were at the Iowa game one year, we were in row 7 around the 20-yd line...we could see nothing down the sideline we were on. IMHO, the higher you go in Michigan Stadium, the better. We were at the PSU game where Manningham caught the TD pass to end PSU's chances for the BCS title game. For those that think that place can't get loud...it was louder than anytime I was ever at Kinnick.
There is one huge knock on the Big House...the seat you are assigned too is way to small...we haven't been back for a while because the last time we were there it wasn't a fun row to be in. At the Iowa game we were at it was really bad though, there was this guy two rows down from us that took up at least four seats and he was a total jerk about everything....telling people to give him more room.
Huge advantages at The Big House:
1. Parking, a lot of places to park. You don't have to walk for forever and a day to the stadium.
2. When the game is over...you can actually leave and get on I-94, or a main road in a reasonable time.
3. Everyone is treated with respect...yeah you have your jerks, but it is night and day, they are few and far between. It is funny to listen to other fanbases talk about the atmosphere at Michigan and then compare it to say...OSU or Wisconsin.
Michigan Stadium is very nice and so are the people, I can easily see how it is ranked #6 though; the criticisms that it has are true, but it really is a great place to watch a football game. The one thing that does bother me is the complacency of the fans.
I have never felt that way at Kinnick for whatever reason...I am not saying Kinnick isn't good, but I prefer to go watch a game at Michigan Stadium than Kinnick.
