I said he probably has a case, but there are guys every year that are snubbed. He is one of the few that is a big enough doosh to cry about it.

Washington went to great pains to single out AJ as the one he really does think deserves to make the team,so naturally, reporters ask AJ and he responds honestly,and now he gets pilloried? BS.

AJ is the best catcher in the league this season,and 3 go ahead of him...that stinks.

Dont be mad at Washington, its the system that sucks. The article pretty much said the same thing.

I despise the rule where every team must be represented in the All-Star Game.
 


AJ is a jerk otherwise his own peers could have voted him on the team. Washington did not have much choice but to take Mauer to get a Twin on the roster, the players voted for Wieters, and the fans voted for Napoli.

A Guy who relishes in being an annoying *** can't complain when he is not chosen in a popularity contest.

A.J is a scumbag and is hated across the league. Fans alike don't like him. This is a popularity contest. If people don't like you, you have no shot. Derek freaking Jeter, he of 0.9 WAR and statistically the worst SS in the game is starting. Bout all that needs to be said about the ASG. I am a HUGE Giants fan and there is no way Panda should be starting over David Wright who has the 2nd highest OPS in the league.
 


It's very easy to understand why he isn't on the team if you know the process

1. Fan vote. Fans don't like AJ and voted for Napoli
2. Player vote. Players don't like AJ and voted for Weiters
3. Coach vote. Needed to add a Twin to the team so Mauer gets the nod.

Where his #'s better than those guys? Yes. And it stinks but that's the process
 


What does this AJ fellow do that pizzes everyone off so much? Honest question - not a baseball fan/follower. TIA.

Also, if you think that was the highlight of Barrett's career, you are an idiot.. free cheap shot and he didn't even phase him... I think we know who the ***** is.. :rolleyes:
