Might just be the stud of the class. In fact he’ll likely get some bigger offers if his season goes well. He is long, rangy and very quick off the snap. It’s kind of surprising to me he just got offered by us of late. His film is super.

He is raw, but he has things that cannot be taught (size/speed) and plays hard and physically. That's a good start. Liked him a lot as well (based on vids) and that CIML is no touch football league, either. He faced some tough teams/players.

according to the clowns, the guys iowa is getting only have offers from the MAC.........

classic clown stuff, right there.

Sadly we have our own fans who say this….but when I went back and looked I didn’t find it to be very accurate and it takes a lot of squeezing of the eyes towards Iowa’s past recruiting history and successes to not realize that’s pretty silly. Made all the more so by ISU’s lack of “other†offers period.

Iowa’s recruits are rangy, athletic and versatile, pretty much like the last several classes, which have all been well received. When a rival fan says something like this, it is usually indicative of sour grapes anyway. With the exception of say Klein and Knott ISU’s recruiting hasn’t been overly impressive from what I can see on the field of play so I wouldn’t put ANY weight into their musings.

I edited your comment to prevent confusion. In reading this message board some Iowa fans echo that sentiment.

What I don't understand is Iowa Fans pre-occupation/fascination with Iowa State. There are posts dedicated to how they had no commits, then posts dedicated to their commits having no other offers, and now your post indicating clown fans thoughts on our recruiting.

I don't know as I've gone to a clown site since Deace's departure from whatever the one he had.

CIML Metro is not exactly a murderer's row of football opponents. But, he is athletic, with good height and speed. Add 30-35 pounds and he could become a very good Big 10 DE. A good pickup for the Hawks.

no one cares? yet you take the time to post.

Were you bullied as kid? Why are you such an instigator? I get fed up with the ISU fans too, especially the ones that say...

"why are you iowa fans so obsessed with ISU? Your fascination with the clones is weird."

BUT WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BRING ISU INTO THE CONVERSATION? Of course those idiots are posting idiotic things on their idiotic website, drowning in their eternal sorrows of losing tradition. That is the way of the college sports world.

'The clones are talking crap about our recruiting class'

Obviously! It's what they do best. There is no breaking news with that story. That's been going on since the birth of the internet. It's like saying, 'did you see Skip Bayless said Lebron sucks?' Yes I know it's happening, and I don't care. We call some people haters for a reason, because they hate. Let those haters do their job!

He won't be the stud of the recruiting class, if that's what you mean. He's got some good measurables and he's clearly a great talent in that league, but he's got a lot of work to do even watching his highlight video. Tackles too high for one thing. He won't get by with that at the next level. Takes some poor angles on D, but makes up for it with athleticism. Catches some passes against his body. Great prospect though...most kids coming out of HS have these issues.

Have you seen Kenney's tape? Recruiting sites are not always wrong.

Without taking another player, Iowa's class would likely be the best in ISU history on paper. They could all suck when they get here, but ISU fans would all be printing up Big XII championship tshirts if they had half of Iowa's class.

In related news. I heard a few kids in Michigan's piece of crap class don't even have offers from Alabama...losers.

:D...good stuff!!

I saw him play basketball several times last year. He is an explosive dunker and rebounder, he is very mobile, and he can really catch the ball in traffic. He would be very tough at DE or TE. Young can really sky! He opened my eyes when he cleanly blocked a Pete Jok jump shot.

Let's calm down before we crown the CIML Metro division the NFC North. Four of Lincoln's nine regular season games are against pathetic Des Moines city schools. In reality he should be extremely dominant his senior year and rack up some big stats. Especially since Lincoln's coach has no qualms about running up the score on lesser competition.

There isn't a conference in Iowa that holds a candle to the top high school conferences in the nation.

No but Bettendorf, City High, Valley and Dowling among a few others have received some national love in the past. Honestly Iowa the state plays solid high school football. It’s not Texas 5A of course, but they are respectable…..
