Ranking the coaching jobs: Big Ten - College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN

Honestly putting bias aside it is tough to argue, though Minnesota could be a toss up behind Iowa, and if Illinois is such a good job why did they get spurned so many times this year?

The point under Iowa that says when the hawks actually have a decent team/approach to the game (aka, not a coach that plays slow and can't get/keep talent) people flock to the hawks. Don't forget Iowa is the main attraction in the state unlike illinois etc.

From the standpoint on if all the jobs were open and I was thinking what someone might choose:

1. Indiana
2. Ohio State (a lot of talent there and its like a pro U)
3. MSU
4. Michigan
5. Illinois (have performed beneath their means)
6. Wisconsin (great facilities, Athl Dept, only BCS team in state)
7. Purdue
8. Iowa (much better facilities)
9. Minnesota
10. Nebraska (Facilities are state of art now)
11. PSU
12. NW

Are you ranking Iowa ahead of Minnesota based on future facilities? Because the talent of the twin cities will blow away the talent in Iowa 9 years out of 10. And that is a heck of a bonus.

That talent in the twin cities has yielded a cornucopia of Big Ten titles for Minnesota ;)

Why has Illinois performed beneath their means? There are other B1G schools that are as close or closer to Chicago.

C-U is not much different than Iowa City.
