Tiger Woods- stick a fork in him!

Tiger will get the records. He is relaxed and playing well. He has his distractions in the past. He has no wife to answer to, only his kids and self. He has shown poise in spite of his errors and is on mission again. Besides, if his competition is going to come from kids like ricky fowler, they had better do better than 12 when paired up with Tiger.

Reasonable post. While I disagree you make some valid posts. One thing is certain, Tiger winning yesterday is good for golf. Him continuing to be around on Sundays will be good for the sport

As I said, I dont care about what he did...not why I like or dislike someone. No one is perfect.

However, yep he chose his actions of screwing porn stars, etc. So unlike some of you I dont feel sorry for him...HE made his own living hell and it probably made for a rough time.
I really don't see anyone feeling sorry for Tiger in this thread.

I absolutely dont think he wins 4 more majors. I realize a nice win has brought out 2 years of complete silence from all of the Tiger lovers. Really hilarios to see!

Actually what is hilarious IA20 is someone starting a Thread 2 years ago titled Tiger Woods- stick a fork in him. Tiger Woods which at the time was 34 years old and one of the greatest golfers of ALL-TIME. The closest active player to Tiger's 14 major wins is Phil with 4.. Not to bright, if you ask me.

And where has ANYONE in this thread disagreed with the notion that he brought it upon himself? No one is feeling sorry for him here. But if Jack had done something like what Tiger did, or any golfer for that matter, it would have taken him a long time to get past all that too (especially in today's media climate). Just because Tiger's obstacles were self-imposed doesn't make them any less challenging to overcome than if they were placed in front of him at random. It was always going to take a lot of time, and using the fact that it took two years as a sign that he won't win more majors isn't even close to fair.

It only took 2 years for you to potentially prove me wrong. Nice job ;)

Fair enough. I simply dont think he wins much more. Hey, if I am wrong I will be here, just like I was yesterday when he won.

Just because it took 2 years does not mean a thing

And it may take 10 years to prove you wrong on the majors; doesn't change the fact that you said 'stick a fork in him...he's done'

If he's done why did he win yesterday. And he will win again and again. Write it down, bank it. He is not done IMO.

You do realize Jack Nicklaus won a major at 46? Phil is still playing well at 40. Tom Brady has a kid out of wedlock, Chipper Jones got a Hooter's waitress pregnant while he was married to someone else, people eff up it is part of life. To think he won't flirt with Jack's all time majors record is silly.

Does Jack's all-time-majors-record work at Waffle House? If so, I'd find it hard to believe that Tiger wouldn't flirt with it.

Sorry--couldn't resist.

Very entertaining thread....reminds me again why I don’t make bold claims about such and such being "done" or even the opposite....and I always chuckle about people on a message board making claims about morality or a lack thereof. As they tightly hide behind their screen names…;)

Good job Tiger…..not a fan of your lifestyle and I wish you’d turn to Christ instead of buddha but you still know how to strike a gold ball.

I was at the Memorial all week. Tiger was far from relaxed. His iron play totally saved him, and he was able to capitalize on extremely harsh conditions and a mentally weak leaderboard for the win. Don't get me wrong, he earned it, and it was amazing to see him deliver the knockout punch, but Saturday was an extremely tough day for him.

And I don't buy that whole "fever" nonsense. I was a few feet away from him many times. You can tell when someone has a 102 degree fever - especially in harsh conditions - they sweat, they shiver, they cough, and they drink a ton of water. Tiger didn't do any of those things.

This was a huge win for Tiger, but the fact that he had the "fever" excuse all ready to go does not say much about his confidence. Jack's major record is safe until further notice.

Yeah, I kinda walked right into that one.:)

no one here is going to prove you wrong, it's a message board...silly. Tiger may or may not prove you wrong about the Majors, but he's Already proved your wrong about being done (with a fork in him).....see below

Tiger is one of two golfers this year with 2 wins.

He's current'y ranked 4th in the world and that is playing 12 less events than #1 and #2 and 6 less events than #3. This is using a 2 year trailing avg., much of that when Tiger had his "c" or "d" game, maybe his "f" game at times.

Look, he messed up, BigTime. lost his marriage, many fans, some of his dignity, of course some $(which for him not really a huge deal), and his legacy is tarnished. He was embarrassed, then injured, then both....not good for a superstar who plays a game that is as much mental as physical. It was possible he might not be able to recover at all, DOZENS of great golfers have lost their game forever dealing with far less adversity.

In my opinion he's paid his price, maybe more than most would given the public scrutiny. I don't know the man personally, mabye he's a great guy who's a little cheap but fun to be around.....maybe he's an a$$ who is arrogant....maybe he's a former nerd who suddenly became the biggest sports star in the world, married a supermodel, and felt like he could do anything.....

What I know is I love to watch him play well and would love to see a showdown for the next 5-10 years with about 10 of the tops guys going at it.

But hey, you are allowed your opinion and digust of the man, it's fine and even understandable.

But....you WERE wrong...Tiger has already proved it.

This was a course Tiger has dominated over his career, much like his win earlier this year. then he flopped after that. It will be interesting to see if his success continues, the US open will be a big indication. However his shots seemed crisper and his putting much better,so we'll see. As long as he can be consistent throughout four rounds. That's the key.

Very well said. How many pro golfers would take his results over the last 18 -24 months? What he has achieved thru his self inflicted adversity, injuries, swing change, etc. is more than most achieve in a career.

Winning at the Memorial in no way proves that Tiger is ready for the U.S. Open.

He won at Bay Hill the week before The Masters, everyone predicted a win at Augusta, only to watch him struggle to a T40 finish.

Winning majors is a whole other step we don't know if he's ready for or not.

Your right it doesn't prove nothing. However winning at the Memorial is also nothing to look down upon either.

The 2012 Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, is a field that is absolutely loaded. With next week’s FedEx St. Jude Classic the final stop before the U.S. Open, a lot of the big names use this tournament as their final tune up before the second major of the season.

Changing gears for a second...I found it laughable that Phil Mickelson withdrew after shooting a 79 the first day and then blamed it on people taking pictures with cell phones. Never cared for Phil.

Did he say that? The article I read said Nicklaus was speculating that could have been part of the reason.
