Illinois didn't shoot 1 FT?!?!

Yep. For a team with such a size advantage on the inside, that's unforgiveable. Unless you're getting uncontested dunks all day, your bigs should be getting a lot of touches and getting to the line.

There may have been a few instances where Illinois

weber pretty much blamed the game on that in his dresser.

should have shot Ft's, but the Illini's offense consisted of Leonard dunking, wide-open layups when they beat us off the dribble or jacking 3's.

If they want to point blame, how about Leonard not attempting a shot in the last 7 minutes of the game? Illinois' guards just are not very savvy. Richardson and Paul are talented but have very little feel for what is a good shot and where the ball needs to go.

It's the truth. You could look at box score and complain, but if you watched the game, this is what happened.

Uncontested dunks/layups/tips and 3 balls. That's it.

Fouls--Illinois 13, Iowa 10. Even fouls until Illinois had to foul to finish the game.

19 free throw attempts on 13 fouls tells you that they were almost all shooting fouls.

Interesting stats.

Pet peeve rant. I hate when people complain about officiating solely because of free throw discrepancy. Not happening here but I thought I would add that.

Illinois take 26 3 attempts out of 62 shots, even the announcer were saying they didn't get Leonard the ball down the stretch, alos if Iowa had not gone without a field goal in the last 9 minutes + they might not have shot 8 of those 19 in the last minute of the game.
if Weber is going to place blame he needs to look no further than his guards
