Patrick Ingram had a solid performance in a #1-#2 match up

He is like Hawkeye great Andre Woolridge, in his size & game. Looks like he can play the 1 or 2, and he can definitely take it to the whole. Another good pickup by Fran!
 


i dont think ingram can play much 1 in the big ten, but thats fine. we need athletic guards who can defend the perimeter.
 


I said this earlier but figured I would repeat it in this thread. My former college coach has watched Ingram play many many times. And he told me that this is the player Iowa fans will be talking about the most once the season starts next season. Bold prediction considering we signed 2 Top 100 players, but he hasn't wavered from it.
 


I don't think we have to worry about him not playing good competition. Sounds like some great basketball being played. I would like to know if Patrick was guarding the guy that scored 34 and if he was did he get a lot of his points when Ingram got into foul trouble.

IF Ingram can develop a decent three point shot it sounds like he could be a truly great player.

Sounds like Ingram got into foul trouble guarding Garry Harris. Harris seems to have taken it to whoever they tried to have guard him. Garry Harris is no slouch as he stands 6'6 and weighs 210 pounds. He is ranked the 3rd best guard in the 2012 class and the 25th best prospect in the 2012 class. By the sounds of it he has not been working too much on bball lately since his coach said he was basically coming right off football season and has not had much bball practice time.

Sounds like it was a pretty good game consistening of 3 big 10 recruits.

Coming from you, this is great info. Hope it holds up next year.

One thing is for sure, next year team will have the most talent that fans have seen prior to Lickliter. Lick's first year had some talent, though.
 


Gary Harris was the object of an intense recruiting battle between IU,PU,Ill,MSU,KY ect. MSU won the battle. So Ingram will be playing vs him and his teammate Ronnie Johnson who is headed to Purdue. The article cited 4 future Big Ten players...Harris,Johnson,Ingram...and who? Is it that junior Irvin? He may have already committed to IU. No doubt that was one fierce high school bb game.

The one coming up in chicagoland is nationally ranked #1 Simeon vs Whitney Young.
Every big college coach in the country will want to be at that one,with Parker,Taylor,Nunn,Pollard,ect at Simeon,and Okafor,White,Tommy Hamilton jr. ect on the floor. All top 100 players.

Makes you wonder what the star rankings would be if he and Gessel switched places.
