Derby Move to LB is Permanent

Another chess piece moved towards winning the war that is the BigTen. This could be one important piece of the puzzle that gets Iowa to the BigTen championship game. I expect we will see some others fall into place as the season moves on. I still say don't count us out.........................

I dont like to be wrong, no. Show me a guy that does, and I'll show you a *****.

That being said, I dont have a problem admitting I am wrong. I do it regularly

The Juco thing was about how it rarely works out when guys leave your program and go Juco, that they make it back...more often than not, they don't, which is the fact.

I deleted the third reply in this thread about my tying Safety because I knew it would take away from the actual topic which was far more important, except to a select few personality types. I edited it, moved on. So should you

this all fine. I just gave 1 example to back up my statement. Not a big deal.

a caller said that Greene made it back from Juco, you said he didn't go to Juco. after you said that, a caller called in and called you on it and you spun it your way saying that he didn't play football at juco.

maybe that is your way of saying you were wrong and it was my fault for missing that nuance.

but like you say, it's not a big deal and should just move on here.

I realize he's gonna be a LB this year. However, could he not be better suited for a Def. End next year? Is he fast enough for LB? I'm not claiming he's slow, just that I don't know. Also, do we have an even bigger need at D.end then linebacker? just wondering

He's fragile today.

I also experienced this while I was honestly trying to clarify the "no calling out players" rule. The Castillo thread from a couple days ago gave me some pause.

I'd have liked Derby to practice at LB his entire suspension. Does anybody know how much ground he needs to make up or players he needs to surpass before he gets snaps at LB? For just making a tackle on KO, he looked good physically. Needing physical work is one thing, needing mental and practice reps is another. Hopefully it's just mental and practice reps, which it sounds as if it is.
