Coach _____ is better than Kirk.

If you can fill in that blank with someone that has better demeanor, character, coaching ability, and integrity, then I would like to know who it is. I guess the honest question to ask is this. Would you rather have KF and lose a game or two that you maybe shouldn't, or would you like to have someone like Pelini(Hot headed jerk), Tressel(cheater), Chizik(both), or Bielema(arrogant bully). I prefer Kirk. You of course, are entitled to your opinion.

Honest question here...

How many games has Wisconsin lost against teams they were supposed to beat since Bielema took over?

The biggest difference between Ferentz and Bielema is that Bielema seems to have the sack to stick the knife in, twist, remove, and stick it in again just for good measure. His killer mentality might be as good as it gets, especially given the scores they put up last year.

His second or third year wasn't so hot.

I see where you're going with this, but why does it have to be one or the other. I love Kirk and think he's a great coach. That said I'd rather lose doing everything I can to win then quitting with under two minutes remaining so that we can trade off possessions in overtime.

Two completely different games, but you don't see a basketball team who has the ball with multiple time outs just sit on the ball with a minute plus left refusing to take a shot a winning the game. And like I said, I have nothing against Kirk, but of the coaches you listed above or anyother coach you can think of, who wouldn't try to finish a game out to win in regulation. Why can't we have both this coaching staff and the go for the throat hold nothing back mentality of the other coaches.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I can't see how this mentality can have a positive impact on the players. I don't think they bust their tales all preseason to be in better shape (which they weren't today) to finish games if rather than a two minute drill there just going to run out the clock so that they can ware down even more in over time.

Just because Fitz has a hex on us doesn't make him a great coach. For being a defensive guy, his D's get torched a lot, except when playing against KOK, of course.
