White Determined to Succeed

I like this kid he always rises to the occasion. The all star game he took part of in OH, he was MVP and he was on the court with kids with more stars than he had.

It will be very interesting to see how playing time is earned. I think earned is a key word. Coach Fran will get after the guys and our added depth should make for some fun. Go Hawks!

What a great attitude. This kid has been all about hard work since he signed his LOI. It's refreshing to read a story about a kid who knows where he wants to go and isn't afraid to put in the work required to get there.

Aaron reminds me of another skinny Ohio blue collar working kid who came in unheralded, worked his butt off,and kept improving throut his career at Iowa....Ricky Stanzi, who is now a self-made millionaire.

From what I have heard about Ray Hamilton,Whites best buddy, he is cut from the same stock, altho he is a high school All American. So,who will end up having the bigger impact at Iowa, Aaron White or Ray Hamilton?....my answer...both!

If these "articles" from the UI website were all one relied upon, it would be difficult to understand how Iowa would ever lose a game.

Just once it would be fun to read: We're pretty sure White is going to be okay, but you just can never tell with these freshmen - some of them (heck, most of them) don't really pan out. But we're happy to have him at Iowa, and with a little luck, he'll have a decent career here - probably not someone you'll remember 10 years from now until you watch a YouTube video and go "Oh yeah, I recall that guy", but we hope he'll at least be serviceable and help us win a few games.

Something like that.

Could White be described as a bit of a point forward? Going back to the Raveling years, I can't recall Iowa having many players like that.

I am excited to see how he develops. Seems like the ideal player to pair with Mel in the front court.

Hmm...you mean something like...THIS!?!?

"Anthony Hubbard could be just what the Hawks are looking for, that is, if he can stay away from the inside of a jail cell and doesn't get kicked off of the team and have it made to look like he's "transferring" on his own account."???

Do you remember Glen Worley? Because I strongly believe that White will at worst end up having a career like Worley. Now, you might remember Worley mostly because of unrealised expectations. But, at least you remember him. You know, kind of like the Fab Five?

What was it about this article that was so far fetched for you?
